It amazes me how much hardware and power has to be thrown at the problem to solve it while nature can create a self-organizing machine that only requires material input of raw mice and lasagna.
Nature can do it because it has had hundreds of millions of years of evolution to get to this point.
I'm no regular user and I've had Vista on my laptop that really wasn't meant for Vista, way too little resources. Personally, Win7 was the best upgrade I've ever done. I haven't actually measured the performance gain, but I'm quite sure it's MUCH more than "5%" as someone else said. I don't think I would notice a 5% performance gain and I have definitely noticed a significant gain. So, was it worth it for me? Verrrry worth it.
You have obviously lost complete touch with what the younger generation goes through when growing up. I've known too many people from high school that ended up committing suicide because beyond telling teacher/parent/school counselor there is little to no recourse.
I'm not sure where you are seeing that the summary sounds like it's a recent discovery. The only thing would be that the scientists were awarded the Nobel Prize this year, which is true.
And yes, you're right, this discovery is not recent. Of course, it sometimes takes decades for people to be awarded a Nobel Prize for work they did decades ago.
I've got my donor card in my wallet. I've also given one to my wife. I never understood why people want to have their bodies shoved into a wooden box where your body swells and explodes. What a waste...
The problem is the current big ADSL ISP's(Bell and Telus) have a monopoly on their markets(It might be an Oligopoly, I don't know if Bell and Telus compete in the same geographic areas.)
I can't buy a PC for the sake of liking it more so than Linux or Mac? Btw, I'm not exactly a dumb user either. I've programmed quite a few years in Linux and used to use it for personal things as well. I've used Macs before and I simply like Windows OS better.
Fewer commercials? Not a chance. I think what we'll find is more channels being shown to people who just skip over them.
I'm still confused.... when does the pizza come?
I've never seen 24. I was only making a joke, I wasn't trying to take away from his comment in anyways. Please calm down.
...during shows like "24 Hours"....
Hmm, that's a new one to me.
This is why there are 100,000 apps in the apps store: http://www.theappsmachine.com/iphone-news-and-rumors/this-is-why-there-are-100000-apps-in-the-app-store/
Are you confusing Sam Ramji with Sam Raimi? And is it supposed to be a joke?

"In away your right," Linguo: Bad spelling overload, powering down!
As well, anyone who says the system is rigged will be asked to produce their code and then one can actually check to see if they're lying.
Let's see how fast they appeal THAT verdict.
As have I, yet I run Windows. This is all nice little anecdotal evidence, but it all boils down to smart web browsing.
WOOHOOO Universal Translator, one step closer!

Quite the knee slapper.

I'll eat my poutine while I e-mail thank you very much.

I can confirm their vastly superior uptimes/speeds/support. I've had both Bell and I currently have Teksavvy.
Hypothetical situation. Given the choice between Verizon, Bell, Telus or Rogers and based on their price/speed plans, I would pick Verizon.....
Sigh, I'm saying if I had a choice between Verizon or Bell/Telus/Rogers. I'm not saying I HAVE that choice. It's called a HYPOTHETICAL situation.
I'd probably pick Verizon given their pricing and speed plans. They offer plans far superior to that of Bell, Rogers or Telus.

I'm guessing it wasn't the Hard Drive, but actually the 128GB of RAM that is the bottleneck.
