    It amazes me how much hardware and power has to be thrown at the problem to solve it while nature can create a self-organizing machine that only requires material input of raw mice and lasagna.

    Nature can do it because it has had hundreds of millions of years of evolution to get to this point.

    I'm no regular user and I've had Vista on my laptop that really wasn't meant for Vista, way too little resources. Personally, Win7 was the best upgrade I've ever done. I haven't actually measured the performance gain, but I'm quite sure it's MUCH more than "5%" as someone else said. I don't think I would notice a 5% performance gain and I have definitely noticed a significant gain. So, was it worth it for me? Verrrry worth it.

    You have obviously lost complete touch with what the younger generation goes through when growing up. I've known too many people from high school that ended up committing suicide because beyond telling teacher/parent/school counselor there is little to no recourse.

    I'm not sure where you are seeing that the summary sounds like it's a recent discovery. The only thing would be that the scientists were awarded the Nobel Prize this year, which is true. And yes, you're right, this discovery is not recent. Of course, it sometimes takes decades for people to be awarded a Nobel Prize for work they did decades ago.

    I can confirm their vastly superior uptimes/speeds/support. I've had both Bell and I currently have Teksavvy.

    Hypothetical situation. Given the choice between Verizon, Bell, Telus or Rogers and based on their price/speed plans, I would pick Verizon.....

    Sigh, I'm saying if I had a choice between Verizon or Bell/Telus/Rogers. I'm not saying I HAVE that choice. It's called a HYPOTHETICAL situation.

    I'd probably pick Verizon given their pricing and speed plans. They offer plans far superior to that of Bell, Rogers or Telus.

    The problem is the current big ADSL ISP's(Bell and Telus) have a monopoly on their markets(It might be an Oligopoly, I don't know if Bell and Telus compete in the same geographic areas.)

    I can't buy a PC for the sake of liking it more so than Linux or Mac? Btw, I'm not exactly a dumb user either. I've programmed quite a few years in Linux and used to use it for personal things as well. I've used Macs before and I simply like Windows OS better.

    I'm guessing it wasn't the Hard Drive, but actually the 128GB of RAM that is the bottleneck.
