Doesn't a lot of static electricity build up on the plastic? From my experince with tupperware, the rubber they use tends to build up charge constantly.
This sounds like a cool idea, but I'm a little scared of zapping a motherboard.
With all of the MS FUD floating around lately, we know one major thing:
MS is scared.
If MS didn't think that Linux was a threat, they wouldn't even mention it. Do you see MS trashing OS/2 or Netware? Of course not. Why? Because neither of those is a threat.
All of the "features" this article mentions boil down to command line completion. He wonders why a GUI selection window can't pop up for the rm command. Simple: rm fo !tab! to execute rm foobar.file
Here's one I'm surprised to see didn't show up: verbose page loading. What I mean by that is have the browser actually tell you what it's doing as it goes through the process of loading a page.
I remember old browsers used to display information like:
Resolving name..
Contacting server
Negotiating connection
Downloading xxxx.html
Closing connection
Done.
The trend I've seen in modern browsers simply say "Loading" or "Opening" without telling me what's happening. Having the extra information would help when troubleshooting what section of the content isn't loading.
Okay $1,000 for the screen and $2,300 for the little plastic molded "Sony" tag on the front. We now have a grand-total of $3,300 which is about right for an introductrory "cool" piece of equipment from Sony.
I've had a good experience with this technology. I had an economics professor at MSU who held regular office hours via AOL messenger and Yahoo! messenger. It was very helpful not having to walk across campus to ask a quick question. Surprisingly, the pure text notation was not too clumsy for meaningful conversation.
Part of a sense of humor is knowing what's funny and what isn't. Watching 7 people be vaporized in an exploding spacecraft is NOT funny. Especially while family, friends, and millions of adults and children watched.
How would you like to watch a live video feed of your wife, husband, or child exploding? Pretty happy thought, ehh?
My point is that Challanger wasn't a movie; it wasn't scripted with special effects; and, it's not the latest piece of Sony(r)(c)(tm) shitware that's usually on Slashdot. Those were REAL people who died in a tragic accident.
This situation isn't really different in the State of Michigan where the age of sexual consent is 16, but no one allows the viewing of sexually explicit movies to people under 17 or 18. We can't watch pictures of it, but we can do it all day long. FUBAR.
Your loyalty to the company ends when its loyalty to you ends. They obviously didn't care enough to make wise manegerial choices that would have kept the company from going under. Therefore, your job didn't really mean that much to the company. You've gotta do what's best for you, and bail.

This is no different than us user support people.
No a click is when you push the button once. A double-click is when you push it twice.....
That's exactly my point. MS no longer trashes OS/2 or Netware because they are no longer threats. MS has successfully killed them.
This is obviously why MS doesn't want the government using open source software.
The only alternative is to spend MILLIONS of dollars buying MS software. There's no other choice.
Linux is right on par with MY American way.

What about www.primussucks.com?
This is the official website for the band Primus. What happens when the owner of a trademark WANTS to have "sucks" in or appended to the name?
In related news however, smoking a lot of pot does impair one's ability to ever use the shift key.
You absolutely must be able to converse with patients using PGP encrypted e-mail.
Ever count the number of cameras in a 7-11? It's always at least a dozen that you CAN see.

Where can I find this collage? Is it in a museum on tour? I'm a big fan of modern art, so hopefully I'll be able to see it.
My Very Patient Mother Just Served Us Nine ______
Served us nine what?!? We'll starve without the pizzas! We need Pluto to avoid world-wide starvation!
You're talking to a Master for crying out loud!
What functionality or code in ksh are you least proud of, Sir?
Show some respect!
The crackers' abilities were not the focus of the parent post. The focus was on the crackers' lack of ethics, not ability.
It's theft because there are people who would have paid for the service but no longer will as they have a h4x0r|) card.

Assuming the money thing is true, how is that any fucking different from having a Win32 port of the client?
Isn't AOL tech support and searching for pr0n on the clock the same job?
Ja, ich spreche Deutsch.
