Goddamn yanks is a bit harsh. If you hadn't noticed, a lot of us are fed up with our government as well. It's just hard to clean up, what with all the Hope and Change dirtying up the place...
What, are you saying that hovering your mouse in an unmarked corner of the screen, then hovering over an icon shaped like a gear but with no descriptive text until you moused over it to find the word Settings, all just to turn your computer off ISN'T intuitive?
What if there's a program I use once a year and can't remember what the exact title of the icon is? Go to the metro interface and scroll through a confusing array of icons?
What exactly was wrong with a heirarchical folder themed list of programs and their associated files?
A command line is powerful for doing some things. A good GUI is powerful for others. Metro is neither, and it introduces an awful horizontal scrolling paradigm that's fine for touch tablets but awful for KB/M computing.
I've never seen an OS advertised as supporting [FUTURE REQUIREMENT].
So they do A, B and C just fine. But when requirement X happens, what do you do? If you're advocating that an OS should be required to always support future software (or be resistant to some unknown malware), good luck with that.
Indeed. With the increasingly automated warehouses being developed by companies like Amazon, once robots are building the merchandise, loading it on driverless trucks, and delivering it directly to your home, how many more millions will be unemployed?
I don't disagree, I'd much rather move to an instant runoff system or other similar system which allows you rank preferences rather than always having to choose the lesser of two evils. But until we do, I'll continue to waste my vote.
Your police, fire department, sewer, water, and schools are courtesy of the federal government? The taxes collected by the federal government dwarf local government, and what do most of us get for it on a day to day basis? Jack shit.
We'd all be better off if we paid the bulk of our taxes locally, so all those important local functions you listed can be improved, and give less to the federal government so they can use it to wage a wars on brown people and green plants.
Eh, I've been voting for non-interventionist Libertarians since I could vote. And every time I get mocked every time because "a third party candidate can't win". Well no shit.
I'd love to see the Libertarians, the Greens, hell even the Socialist Party start to see more representation in government. At least we'd loosen the stranglehold those scumbag Ds and Rs have.
Why would the bill of rights - a set of amendments designed to protect the rights of the citizens from the government - need an amendment that protects the government's right to own guns?
Do a full TCO analysis for aging hardware. If the numbers make sense to upgade, the PHBs will sign off on it. If the TCO turns out in favor of the old machine, stop your whining because you'll have your proof.
Then please explain how colleges have had to teach remedial course in increasing numbers. That should not happen if failed students were being held back and denied diplomas if they don't understand the material.

Understood. :)
Yes it is hard to fight with government but if you are right, you have a good possibility of clearing your name
Funny. You're a funny guy.
Never let facts get in the way of righteous indignation.
It's a good thing technology never moves forward. This issue can now be put to bed.
But this topic is about movies. Content you do not own. So it's an offsite 3rd party cloud and has nothing to do with a private cloud.
That's super, when all you're doing is using data you own. When you're using data someone else owns, it's not going to be in your private cloud.

Oh shit...
I'm more confused about the phrase "false facade", that's redundant. Is a false facade real?
Spoken like a technerd.

You can plan for that eventuality without throwing out that expensive device/controller before it's actually dead.

You're wrong. But don't worry, you get a gold star anyway just for trying.
What if the zebra is on a treadmill?
