You missed the fact that both types of comments are relevant to the situation.I doubt that TW & Comcast would be jumping on the charge/per/kilobyte model so quickly if they hadn't monopolized and divided the market. What are our options for alternative providers? Any suggestions for the LA Westside area?
As they used to say, "The first 90% takes 90% of the effort, the last 10% takes the other 90% of the effort". Crunch time is just the expression of doing that last 90% effort in the last 10% of the schedule.Mind you, my current employer states that they'd prefer we to not have to crunch, given the chance. I get a talking to any time I come in and work on the weekend. ^_^Then again, I quite like crunch, as long as it's not overly extended. It's a bit of a rush, and it can be fun unless you're the one who's h
Well that's justifiable - they don't want to be YouTube so they set up a niche (that, in my opinion, has led to a very good collection of videos). If you really want to post videos yourself, you can always host them yourself.
What BS. They only do this to make money. They think (and probably rightly so) that by opening the floodgates they can make a crapload of money. Either now or later when Google buys them out.
I hope it works, but don't try to scam me into thinking it's for the good of the community.

I hope you're not trying to imply that it's impossible to be safe on Windows without anti-virus. Being careful about where you browse is stupid, as any site can get hacked to spread malware.Using common sense, like not blindly opening attachments, being behind a NAT router and/or firewall and using a web browser that isn't IE that gets updated regularly goes a long way towards being malware-free. You can go even further and implement a whitelist for programs (instead of the anti-virus blacklist, which is on
Windows 2000? Might be pushing your luck there. Compatibility mode in WinXP generally works though (You have to use it on setup.exe). Although you lose LAN I think.
I remember going up into the vent in the bathroom on the facility multiplayer level. If you hold down the "r" right shoulder button, the right "c" button and spun to the left while on top the toilet that was located right under the open vent, you would all of the sudden levitate after a few spins and if you backed up, you where the vent with a weapon. it was great!
As someone with experience with hardware support for a large company, I can attest to the assertion that SSD's fail pretty often. We use the HP TC4400 tablet, which has a 40gig SSD in it, and we seem to get more of them in with dead harddrives than we do the TC4200, which uses a typical SATA drive. This may not be true for all SSD's, but it's my experience so far.

At $110 to file for a small entity, a provisional patent only costs a little bit. If you can't afford it and these are potentially useful medical devices, just go to a patient who would have benefited from it and ask for a little help, or go to a good doctor or med student and offer to let him or her write up the journal article *After* you file the provisional patent application. For that matter, I'm sure you can get five hundred or a thousand bucks from an undergrad in the sciences for the chance to wri

Just out of curiousity - my understanding was that WiMAX was about 3mbps (yes bits/sec). I don't doubt the speeds you report but it struck me as odd. Does Clearwire use something besides WiMAX?
Love Portland by the way. Only been there once but loved every minute of it. Hell, I love the entire Pacific Northwest, hope I can get back up there sometime soon.
Google seem to be being perfectly reasonable. They They are doing enough to keep the carriers happy, but only that. In addition, AFAIK, the platform is more open then Apple's so you can obtain the application from elsewhere and install it without jail breaking.

You should have answered in this manner...

Doesn't sound all that inconvenient...

Is there a decent postgres clustering solution that doesn't force you to lock out all client access when adding a node to the cluster (e.g. pgpool)?
