And don't quote all those studies about Phenylketonurics. I know that they are 'bad'. But you know, so is nicotine (that is a deadly poison) and alcohol. Considering I have never smoked and have maybe one or two drinks of alcohol a year, this is my 'vice' and I like it.

Since then, I have been abusing caffeine regularly (a progression from Dr. Pepper, to Mt Dew, to Jolt and other 'energy drinks'. Current favorite of those types of drink is Bawls) since then and have yet to have any sort of problem. I go though a 2 liter of Coke Cherry Zero a day (plus 2+ 20oz of coke zero/coke cherry zero at work).
I can drink Cherry Zero right before bed, and I am asleep in no time. Of course, maybe I am just a caffeine burnout since my body now requires it (and if I go more than a few hours awake without it, I start to get a headache).
I have had various jobs in the IT field for 13 (almost 14 now) years. Everything from Help Desk to Network Management. I have worked for myself, for the private sector and in education. I currently work at a smallish Midwestern university in a desktop support/network support/project management role and I love it. I have been here over 2 years and it is one of the best jobs I have ever had. I guess it just depends on where you go. But then again, I prefer the mid to upper level support to anything else.

While I don't agree with the way the OP expressed his or her ideals, there is a grain of truth to what they said. If you had green bugs, blue bugs, and orange bugs, and the blue bugs tended to carry a particular nasty disease ten or twenty times more often than the green or orange bugs, but all three types of bugs do have some agricultural benefit, you sample way more blue bugs looking for this disease than you would the orange or green ones.
So is the same with profiling. You are just simply narrowing down the pool of possible suspects because those that wish to do us the most harm tend to be of the Muslim faith. So you look at those more closely than you would those who do not match the profile. Is it perfect? Not by a longshot, but until they come up with a 'pre-crime' department, it works and we are all the better for it, despite the hurt feelings that may be caused.

Actually a massive super volcano eruption would initially cause global cooling from the ash and the sulfuric oxide released would form in droplets in the upper atmosphere blocking the sun causing the volcanic winter effect for a couple of years or longer. Eventually the sulfuric oxide would come back to earth (in the form of a rain of sulfuric acid). Then global warming would kick into overdrive from all the greenhouse gasses that was released as well as the methane from the rotting corpses as the ground as it thaws and eventually when the ocean kicks up a few more degrees higher than it is now, all the methane hydrates on the ocean floor will release, causing even more warming.
