Stop caring, and they will stop buggin'.

I have a friend that has severe social anxiety. My brother and I are the only people he feels comfortable hanging out with. In the past I've been an enabler in some ways because I allow him to hang out at my house with the condition none of my other friends are coming. Well at some point I had enough.. I've been inviting others over without telling him in advance (he'd just make some excuse if I told him someone else is coming). One new friend at a time. He got mad at me at first, but he's starting to realize it's ok. His issue is he thinks everyone is talking/thinking about him. I have to continually remind him how unimportant he really is for him to accept that no one is talking about him.

I agree the questions asked of Sarah Palin in the were rather sexist. For example there was focus on how much money she spent on her wardrobe, where she buys her clothes etc. A male candidate would have never been asked that question.

However, that's where Sarah Palin should have stood up and drive the interview towards the issues. She kept trying to pander to midwestern house wives. She deserved her own fate. How are you going to let Katie Couric make you look stupid?!

This article should have been published in the 70's. Most coaches I've had in high school (the early early 90's) didn't have us do static stretching before a game/match. We did a 5 min jog around to get the blood flowing followed by light stretching. Not this holding a stretch for 20 seconds business. That sounds like an idea from the 50's (you know duck and cover).

And that's where you should kindly request those people that you feel it is inappropriate around children. They can tell you to F-off, but it's their choice to be an A-hole and continue using that language around children. It's your choice to leave those surroundings if you feel that is inappropriate. If you had enough balls to speak your mind maybe manners like that would come back. Manners are a choice.

Easy resolution for both. 1) Smack their butt. 2) When I acted up as a wee lad my parents would take me to the restroom to smack me. Think that only happened about twice. It was threatened many more times though. It's true what parent's say: "This is hurting me more than it's hurting you." Didn't really get it until I was an adult.
