I know I'm playing the devil's advocate here... but maybe Sony doesn't expect to win (in this particular case, ignore all other Sony cases for right now). They *DO* however, need to show their stockholders that they are doing *something*, or else they do stand to lose a substantial amount of money on negligence.
And MUDs copied Adventure and added another level: multiplayer. Verant took MUDs, and added another level: 3D graphics. This means adding a lot -- compensation for distance, speed, height, and a LOT of other things 3D graphics introduce. EverQuest isn't just a MUD with 3D graphics. If that's all you think, then you're severely opinionated.
Is it just me or does the Caldera logo look a lot like some kind of Disney internet logo? I mean, look at the mouse ear there... is there something I don't know about?
3D animation, to me, has always lacked a certain emotional appeal that anime has always been able to fill. Also, it's a lot cheaper to produce 2D animation than 3D. 3D animation, especially that which produces realistic facial expressions and movements (Final Fantasy) requires a lot of time and money. Sorry if this has been mentioned -- I didn't feel like reading through 164 comments to get into the right thread.
The current domain name system is a mess, and unfortunately it appears that it's going to remain that way unless someone starts their own, non-profit domain name system and provides software and transition tools for it. How are you going to convert the ignorant (m)asses out there who use AOL and can barely figure out how to get to Amazon by typing www.amazon.com? You'll never convert the general public (formerly known as the ignorant (m)asses) to start typing www.amazon.US.books.store or whatever you're suggesting. I know a lot of people who even ignore typing the www. and.com because their browsers will fill it in. Someone out there needs to create a free alternative, and people will begin to switch. We need a transition, not a quick-fix, or we'll completely mess things up.
Interesting camera idea, however, is this really street legal? And the windmill thing is pretty cool... sure, it's not a lot of power right away, but it'll save you a bit of money on gasoline used to recharge the batteries. I'm wondering if they have instructions on how to set this up? I'm sure my neighbors'd love it...

You're probably right. It seems to me that slight imperfections and things seem to have been most "attractive" in humans. Why this is, I'm not sure, but the subject has been receiving some press (the imperfection thing). Also, perfect people (or those who think that they're perfect) are incredibly annoying.
I wonder how public relations at the RIAA will be doing after the DMCA they keep pushing along as if they owned it is declared unconstitutional?

Check out this link: http://www.lemuria.org/DeCSS/ This is hilarious, and based on the DMCA might just work... hmm...
Some newer Playstation games use some kind of encryption that bleem! bypasses... like Final Fantasy VIII and Chrono Cross.
Turn it off it your settings. I personally enjoy getting anime news here. It's great. If you don't want it, remove "anime" from the posts you receive.

Just wondering... how many of you have actually had the FBI come to your door looking for your hard drive? Are we being a little over-paranoid?
