Gee .. and lets see here ...

338 Gallons to start the rig
    2 seconds start time (guesstamation)

So .. we need a fuel pump that can do 608,400 Gallons/hour!!!! Or at least one with "burst mode" that can do 10,140 Gallons/Minute

Ok so lets visualize this. Take four fire trucks pumping 2500 gallons/minute (thats a lot of water). Now take those four trucks filled with diesel and pumping with all that force for 2 seconds into the block.

That is the force you would need to get enough fuel to start a semi.

    Don't think so.

A 1200 RPM idling diesel with 30 bhp/hour will only use about 2.25 gallons of diesel. And even for this example it would be running a refrigeration unit on the trailor. The average rig uses around 1.2 gallons/hour.

And I can clearly tell you are not one considering you can not even spell the profession correctly. It's programmers, two 'm's.

And your comparison between a receiver and a programmer is wrong. A receiver is gifted and talented and can catch the ball in many ways, in the gut, in the air, on there stomach (Antonio Freeman vs Minnesota on MNF) all this and defending off the defense. But at the end of the day it is still catching the ball.

As a Programmer, I can not just program different variants of "Hello World" all freaking day. Not to mention program on the same platform day after day. (In your wide receiver example it would be like having the WR catch the ball on a NFL football field one day, a soccer field the next, and maybe even during the "Running of the Bulls" or during a Hurricane).

Not to mention, the WR always knows what he is catching. A piece of pigskin. With crazied EEE out there who the heck knows what we are going to get dropped in our laps.

Go get an AMD 2400 XP and a Pentium 2.4 and pull the heat sinks off while they are running.

Sound unlikely? Okay lets try again.

A wire gets stuck in your cpu fan.
    Your CPU fan dies.
The epoxy connecting the cpu/sink drys out.

Tell me which one is still working (and motherboard) and then tell me who makes a more reliable "better" chip. The AMD will toast itself, more then likely the board, and whatever else it can get its pins onto. The Intel will underclock itself and save your system.

Running AMD's is like handling C4 .. if your not careful your going to get burned. I myself run them, but never feel as confident as I do with the Intels.

Maybe you should read the original posters comments again. He did not say anything about "overheating" the proc. In fact he is dead on when he mentions space heater because of the massive heat exchange that would take place with two overclocked Athlons in the same case.

I run three-five boxes in my office at a time. In the winter the rest of my house is around 72 F. My office is a toasty 78F from the heat dispensed from the boxes. Great space heaters.

I am not saying what you mentioned to be untrue. In fact its dead on, Aluminum heat sinks (instead of copper), worn down fans, and underpowered power supplies will hurt you.
