> You can buy stuff from iTunes in Amarok? No, but you can buy from magnatune.com. Disclaimer: I haven't, I prefer thepiratebay.org and isohunt.com.
Currently, no. Will there be? yes. Remember kids, a little research goes a long way...
From Amarok's website:
The Amarok Team is happy to announce that Amarok 2 will come with native support for the itunes music store. Utilizing the new Scriptable Service framework, Amarok developers have utilized a development model known as creative backwards engineering to develop a C# script and obtain full compatability with the itunes music store. This support is already availible in our subversion sources, and will be released in the next version of Amarok. As a warning, there appears to be a small bug currently where users are not charged for the music they purchase and download. We are working dillegently to fix this problem, and will commit a fix as soon as possible. Thank you for flying Amarok!
I work at a college in illinois (chicago to be exact) and we don't throw out old systems. Every few years when they feel necessary or professors complain they will replace our department computers. The computer support people delist them from use and mark them as storage. Then they sell the systems for dirt cheap to students and faculty (who get them for free). I don't know of any policies in place regulating how many systems employees can take but I'm working on acquiring number two right now. I assure you, at least not at this college, they are not tossed in the garbage. Not only is this wasteful and stupid but it is also against the law IIRC. Computer components are very hazardous to the environment. You can't just throw that stuff out. It has to be recycled or disposed of properly, like any hazmat or chemical material.
This is how it is implemented. I have the P5E3 PREMIUM. The Linux boot is called Express Gate. It boots in about 5 seconds and gives the option to go into bios, the installed OS, or the express gate. You can use email, web browser, skype, and use flash drives (I believe this was first implemented to help update the bios more easily). Uses Splashtop desktop. Here's some quick info on it.
800Kbs is far less than the 6Mbs that I pay for for 3 computers and a PS3 that use it simultaneously, two of which are on 24/7. The 6Mbs that is advertised that I pay for that it never, ever, reaches because of RST forgery and unnecessary "traffic shaping." Care to readjust that argument?
1.) Screen gamma setting=high, stereo playing, roommate home, lights on in room (or daylight, but come on, this is slashdot...), duct-tape mod = Doom 3, you're doing it wrong.
2.) Screen at normal settings, no mods or cheats, nightmare difficulty, game volume=high, lights off, silent room, empty house, 1-2 small candles lit, alcohol and fresh pair of pants within reach = Doom 3, you're doing it heart attack.
Even the AI was crap. I found the tactics for the first game worked equally well in Doom 3. Imps for example could move across the ceiling, but they never took advantage of that ability. They would crawl across a wall, then jump down and start slowly shuffling towards you throwing fireballs. The easiest way to dispatch enemies was the get their attention with a pistol, then sit on the other side of a closed door with a shotgun waiting for them to open it so you could unload both barrels into their face at point blank. Maybe you should try to play on a difficulty higher than easy. When the riflemen hide behind barrels and columns and wait for you to come through the door the AI doesn't seem quite so lacking. Oh and the imps moving across the ceiling was just a graphic. They couldn't actually actively move there. They could, however, leap through the air in a split second, turn in mid air, and pin me to a wall when I dodged their fireballs.
Is it just me or do those photos make the cosmic backbone look like neurons or skin structures?

I'd rather lick a girl's Xbox, personally...

Um, cake, thank you very much.

Couldn't help myself... (lowers head)
The P5E3 Premium has onboard wireless that Express Gate uses for it's connection IIRC.

With the minor problem that when you pump a lot of CO2 into the water it changes the pH and can kill off many of the organisms.
