    For some reason the phrase "You made your bed, now sleep in it!" comes to mind. Although to be fair, it was technically the previous generation that made the bed.

    Newly installed Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva's first act was to send a spam SMS to tens of millions of Thai cell phone subscribers. The message... urged people to help him solve the Thai political crisis and respond with their postal code at a charge of 3 baht (10 US cents)

    Step one: don't make it so easy for a politician to send a text message to everyone in the country that has a cell phone. If they can do that, they can abuse it.

    Hmmm...
    This conversation makes me wonder what the storage capacity of a VHS tape is. An hour's worth of video is a non-trivial amount of data.
    On the other hand, VHS used a very low resolution.

    With Linux, you first have to look for those Microsoft web fonts before you call a potential convert to have a look!

    That's never been my experiance (I stopped installing MS TrueType fonts when I realized they didn't do anything for me), but there is <whisper>Red Hat's Liberation fonts</whisper>

    Particularly the update management comes in handy: On Windows every program has its own confusing and annoying way of locating updates. On Linux you get one window asking you for one click.

    Simple enough, but some people might still be confused by it. I would put apt-get update and apt-get upgrade -y in crontab.

    One of the most important things I learned there was when you add or implement policies peoples reaction to them will be directly proportional to the level of convenience or inconvenience.

    So... Send them a .job (scheduled tasks file) that will do it for them?

    Apple doesn't sell OS X for non-Apple-branded hardware, and Psystar doesn't sell copies of OS X per se. Psystar isn't taking any money out of Apple's pocket in a software market for 'copies of OS X', because no such market exists.

    More accurately, no legally catered market exists.
