    Why would I deliberately choose an OS that was different than my other OS, especially if I were to be transferring documents and presentations I wrote on the airplane back to my main computer?

    Because your other OS doesn't run on ARM.

    I don't think I'd recommend Firefox on a computer with those specs--it wouldn't work particularly well.

    Maybe they are only putting Linux on completely new systems, and old systems are getting OpenOffice when they need to be serviced. My work computer is at least 6 years old. It might get replaced next month with the new fiscal year.

    TVB aims to use the new HTML5 features, more specificly the and tags with the ogg/theora video and audio formats.

    Youtube's html5 test page didn't use ogg, last I checked, and Wikimedia's content has limited entertainment value.

    I think, it would be dishonest to conceal one's hostility toward Microsoft, pretending to be "neutral" while you are not.

    I see it more as:
    The author should make an attempt to actually be neutral. Using 'M$' shows a lack of effort towards that end.

    It also helps that they can't make profits off of anything but the age old product that is Windows.

    I am under the impression that their OS profits are relatively meager compared to what they make from Office.

    And even then, if you're typing fast enough or the keys are close enough together you won't be able to guess the password by watching the keyboard. Hell, I'm sitting right in front of the keyboard and I still can't look through my hands to see which keys my fingertips are actually pressing.

    And then there's the Shift key...

    Yes you can. And I don't just mean "hit backspace more often that you have characters in your password".
    You know you need a new password when you can correct a typo without screen output.

    MS Office's slideshow app is PowerPoint. Incidentally, it is almost synonymous with 'slideshow'.
    OpenOffice's slideshow app is Impress.

    Most major linux distribution are descended from either Slackware or Debian.
