Though, I don't think that's quite so much Vista's fault as it is DirectX 10's fault (but DirectX 10 is part of Vista). I ended up having to scour the internet to find laptops from other manufacturer's / older models using similar hardware to mine so that I could get some XP drivers and dual boot. The difference in playing games (not even counting the games that just don't run under Vista period) is unbelievable. So yes, I will definitely say that Vista sucks -- for gaming. For normal use, it's not too bad (though things like UAC are extremely annoying unless you turn them off).

She was found twenty minutes later, hanging by the neck in a closet. Despite attempts to revive her,[14] she was pronounced dead the following day.[4] According to Ronald "Ron" Meier (Meier's father) and a neighbor who had discussed the hoax with Lori Drew, the last message sent by Evans read: "The world would be a better place without you." Investigators did not find a record of this message."

So, the woman actually driving her to suicide is highly suspect for a couple of reasons. The first is that so many people claim that the woman TOLD her to kill herself (which there is suspiciously no record of, yet ever other message was tracked. Secondly, it was after an argument WITH HER MOM that the girl ran off and killed herself. This sounds a LOT like the parents wanted a scapegoat and said "well, this person was mean to her so we'll tell everyone that Lori Drew's mean comments made her kill herself".

I'm willing to bet most people who are all pissed off against Lori Drew never heard that information.

Part of this though is the idiotic belief that every time a new model of a car is released that it needs to be longer, wider, taller, and have another 5 airbags to add useless weight.

I've yet to see any distinction between a "crossover" and an SUV, other than the fact that SUV's are typically based off a truck frame (though not always) and "crossovers" are based on a car frame. They still end up being almost the same vehicle, because once you break 4,000 lb's, an extra 200 lb's to make it an SUV instead of a "crossover" is pretty meaningless, especially when it comes to gas mileage.

There's plenty of evidence to support this from many universities and various environmental research groups. If the predicted effects of an increase of 5 degrees C are so catastrophic, how come we weren't wiped out 1,000 years ago when temperatures ACTUALLY were where they're predicted to go?

I had to do some research on the Little Ice Age a few years ago and every single source I found came back to the same thing, that we're still warming back up and that it's still significantly colder than it was 1,000 years ago.
