Amen. China simply steals everything that other countries develop instead of paying for it and then they claim that the West is immoral. It would be pretty funny if they weren't planning on ass-raping all of us with the things they've stolen.
Very true. However, if I was running a multi-billion dollar company, I'd invest in some mercenaries to take out a few select assholes in the country giving you grief. Sure, a country can't put China in their place due to China's massive military, but some private people working together shouldn't have a hard problem assassinating some high level people in the Chinese government.

Or they start putting cameras in each stall because "kids could be doing drugs in the stalls". The most amusing part is that when the UK regularly does shit like this to take away their citizens rights, they then criticize when the US does something 1/10 as bad.
First off, I know you're trolling now with your "how fragile the screen on a 3GS is" - especially since, as an owner of one since they came out, I've dropped one onto a ceramic tile floor and it didn't do jack to it.
Secondly, I never said anything about "scratching the screen with your finger", I said that the screens are "highly scratch resistant". I've spent months cleaning it off on any type of fabric, including jeans, and even carried it in a pocket with car keys and never put a scratch on it. Again - troll.
Your list of "points" - most of them were just mindless trolling. The "no one wants to hear your keyboard" - hey, guess what, you can hear physical keyboards - the difference is that an iPhone has a mute button and volume controls! If you are so dependent on hearing the sounds to type, then you have a whole set of issues that we don't have enough time to get into. As for "no bumps on F and J" - seriously? It's a goddamn PHONE. It's not hard to glance 1/4 of an inch lower and see what your fingers are on if you need to.
If you break a jailbroken iPhone to where you can't even restore it, you'd have done that kind of damage to it even without jailbreaking it and should not be allowed within 100 yards of any electronics.
I never said that the iPhone was the best, it wasn't even my first choice of a phone (but due to Android phones only being on T-Mobile at the time and Verizon drastically overcharging, there weren't really options). All I did was point out that (silly me) you should actually USE one before bashing it. However, now I know you're just trolling, so my "try it before you bash" is irrelevant since you'll bash it no matter what.
AT&T's network is only clogged in a few overpopulated cities. The other 95% of the country isn't clogged in the slightest. I have an iPhone 3GS and my friend has a Droid - we both get between 120 KB/sec to 350 KB/sec downloads, typically around the 200-250 KB/sec point. If you want to live in an overpopulated area (NYC, LA, San Fran), then just like how you have massive congestion when trying to travel, you're going to get massive congestion on cell networks too.
If the parents were involved (which yes, I suspect they were too), there's a big difference between letting murderers (and murderers of a f-ing child at that) go free and locking them up / executing them.
Except that this isn't just "a person was careless and left a gun where a kid could reach it". The mother was THREE FEET AWAY and there's absolutely no reason that she didn't see it. Given the fact that I've shot guns, I agree that it's HIGHLY unlikely a kid that small could pull the trigger. I wouldn't be surprised if the mom did something stupid and accidentally shot the kid and then claimed that the kid did it on their own. That's a hell of a lot more plausible than a 3 year old shooting themselves.
A typical high end machine will last you 4 years minimum. At $15 a month for 4 years that's $720. You'd be better off just spending the $720 up front on a high end machine or games console.
The end result of using this service for 4 years then cancelling is that you loose all your games and can not resell them.
Exactly. You can build a very good gaming system for around $800 and it will last you (without having to upgrade ANYTHING) at least 4 years, depending on what kinds of games you like, it could last a good 6 years or more.
None of that income goes to the primary market. People do not buy more "new" games because they've sold more used games.
Bullshit. I know many people who don't have enough disposable income to buy the 50+ games a year they want to buy, so they buy some games used and then they sell games so that they can afford to buy new ones. For example, a friend bought Vegas 2 new on the 360 when it came out and was tired of it so he sold that and another game he was tired of to Gamestop in order to buy Mass Effect 2 new. Despite game companies wanting to destroy the used game market, they profit quite a bit from the used game market.
If you live in one of those overpopulated shitholes, you deserve the crappy service there. The other 90-95% of the country has great service from AT&T.
Where did I say that anyone claiming to prefer a touchscreen keyboard can't remember where keys are? I was refuting the argument you made, while you're putting words in my mouth.
You specifically talked about you MUST have a physical keyboard so that you can type without looking at it - just because you used a different wording doesn't change what you said.
As for your comments at the end about the iPhone, jailbreaking fixes the locked down aspect (and it's dirt simple to do), and if you bothered to USE one for more than a minute, you might realize that you don't need a physical keyboard as badly as you think you do. Also, (again proving your lack of experience with an iPhone), you don't "press" on an iphone at all - the most minimal amount of physical contact is needed for it to register, so your argument about you breaking the screen eventually from touching it is completely false, as is your "scratching the screen" argument, at least with the highly scratch resistant 3GS. That's why I dislike using other touchscreen phones because on those you DO have to actually push, where on the iPhone you just barely touch your finger to it and it registers.
At first after reading this post of yours, I was going to say you were trolling, but after thinking about it more, you just come across as someone who is so determined that X is better than Y that you refuse to even try X and find out if your bias is justified. Take a chance sometime, you might be surprised.
There's a big difference between typing by touch on a keyboard at a computer and doing it on a phone. Do I really look at what I'm typing on my phone? No, but I still occasionally look to make sure I'm hitting the right buttons. All you're doing is being a troll and claiming that anyone who doesn't want a physical keyboard is incapable of remembering where keys are.
Of course, for this to be even a remote possibility, you MUST have a physical keyboard, so you can feel your way to the keys and know when you've pressed one.
No, you don't have to have a physical keyboard for it. Does it make it easier? Some, but it's not a necessity (hence why I only look at my touchscreen about 10% of the time when typing). Also, having the typing sounds turned on lets you know whenever you type something, so you know when they're pressed.
And yes, I'm well aware that the reason I was modded flamebait (even though I agreed with the parent about 85%) was because I said that I actually like an iPhone, which is a big no-no here. The amount of bad modding going on lately is getting ridiculous.
Actually they've improved it a lot recently! Now the "submit" and "cancel reply" buttons no longer overlap so you don't cancel everything you typed! Now all they need to do is get comments to appear correctly and they're good to go. Either that or they could just make an iPhone app for reading slashdot....
Some of us use our phones for serious work like remote sysadmin tasks and document editing (to name just two). Both types of phones exist because different people have different needs and preferences.
I've done remote access sysadmin work from my iPhone plenty of times and it was never a hassle at all. While I originally preferred physical keyboards, after having an iPhone for the last 7 months or so, I actually prefer the keyboard because it only shows one symbol on each key (and you hit a button on the side to change what the keyboard shows), which makes it much easier to find what I'm looking for instead of having to look for less frequently used buttons where there are 3 symbols all in different colors on the button. I just wish that it had the Storm 2's tactile feel, but that's a minor quibble. It's all a matter of personal preference / priorities. In your case you place a high value on having the physical feel of a button to push. In my case I place a high value on a clean looking keyboard where I can easily find what I'm looking for.
This is strictly a usability issue, and if you carefully and realistically consider user needs you'll see that l/100 km is better. Consider a car-buying couple:
"Hey, this one gets 10 mpg!"
"But this one gets 20 mpg! It's twice as good."
"This one gets 30 mpg, that's even better!"
"Yeah, that's as big a difference as between 10 and 20. Let's go for that one!"
Or:
"This one gets 10 l/100 km!"
"The one gets 5 l/100 km! It's twice as good."
"This one gets 3.3 l/100km, that's even better!"
"Hmm... that's not such a big improvement. Maybe the best value is at 5!"
Yes, but that only works in non-US countries. Here's how that conversation would go in the US -
"Hey, this one gets 10 L/100 km!"
"What the fuck is a liter?"
"Hell if I know, I just read what's on the damn sign. Anyone around here know what the hell a km is?!"
*Employees at car dealer* "It's uhm.......something you can get in Europe?"
"Fuck this, I'm buying a Ford! Goddamn hippie punks and their L and km!"
I'm also skeptical of this because one of the advantages of Direct Injection is that the gasoline is colder thus allowing for a higher compression ratio, thus resulting in more power from the same amount of gasoline, thus reducing the RPM needed to go a give speed, thus improving MPG.
I never said it was a bad idea, just that as limited as the iPhone is (only being able to have one app on screen at a time and the amount of time to switch between apps is about the same time it takes to launch an app), that I didn't find multi-tasking to be very useful.
The problem isn't $15 a month vs. $30 a month for unlimited, because I agree, most of the time you'd be using it you'd be somewhere (house, work, school) that has WiFi. The problem is it's $15 for 250 MB or $30 for unlimited (some claims say limited to 5 GB). The fact that the $15 a month plan gives you so little data shows that they're using it only as a selling point to try to look good but that they made it pretty much worthless to use the $15 a month plan. I have an iPhone and mostly have it on wireless and it still doesn't take long to go well over 250 MB in a month. Just stream a dozen videos on youtube and you're already halfway through your 250 MB for the month.

Why is banning the solution to everything? I don't get it. People love to ban anything with legislation, it's completely illogical.
I suggest we ban legislation entirely - problem solved!
I'm assuming you were born after Carter left office....

Yes, they SHOULD, but that's not in the game companies' best interest.

Well it has multitasking for music apps like the iPod app....... =)
Well you can do that, but the easier way is that the iPad will do bluetooth tethering and a jailbroken iPhone can also do bluetooth tethering.
30$? I'm assuming that you've never even traveled to the US then........
