It's a bloody big niche - many companies I've been involved with use HP workstations. Typically, if they don't use Dells, then they use HPs - I've seen very few exceptions. Also, I'm yet to encounter a server room of even a modest size without at least one HP/Compaq cabinet.

Though it's popular to say, "You're only throwing your vote away by voting for a 3rd party."

I've never understood that sentiment either. The idea behind it is that you should only vote for one of the two parties likely to win. What about instances where there is only one likely winner? The logic of the above would suggest that all Texans, for example, should just vote republican,'casue they'll win there anyway.

I tend to believe you're only throwing your vote away if you don't vote for a 3rd party.

Personally I believe that voting for anyone other than the candidate you prefer is throwing your vote away. On second thoughts, not voting would be throwing it away, whereas voting for someone else is giving it away.

There should be a class action suit over this.

Why? No-one is forced to spend their money on text messages. Truth is the networks charge what they do because people are willing to pay it. People simply don't care about the bytes to dollar/euro/pound; ratio. For example, the last four messages I received from my brother contained a total of about 25 characters, 8 of which were exclamation marks.

If usage drops, then prices will follow, but that doesn't look like happening soon.

Actually, being a PI would theoretically give you the required expertise to plant the incriminating evidence without it being traceable to your actions, thus giving the guy's claim of a setup increased plausibility.
