What really happened was that the norwegian IRS said that the bitcoin does currently not have any status as a currency in Norway and will be taxed as an asset.
They very clearly state that bitcoins have not been banned as a currency, only that it's status still has to be decided by Finanstilsynet (almost like SEC, but with a broader mandate).
The Norwegian IRS does not have the authority to claim it is a currency or not, only Finanstilsynet. All they do is tax what they see as an asset until Finanstilsynet gives other directions.
I resigned my Linux Journal subscription the moment they went away from paper. Geek news is in abundance on the internet. Having a tablet in the toilet just is not a substitute for a magazine.
Not to mention that the world is very beautiful:) The whole package is just well crafted and entertaining, and the fact that you can get all the skills and abilities but have to build your own "deck" from over 500 makes it very free indeed.
Personally I find The Secret World very nice for my wife and me as we play casually. There is new content on a steady basis and lots of outfits that my wife loves. It's set in a dark contemporary world where the secret societies are comming into the open due to paranormal events. It's quite a horror style dark mmo:)
We also play minecraft multiplayer on a whitelist server, and my 2.5 year old daugher is starting to take very much interest in watching us feed cows or ride the minecarts:)
I have friends that play CS with CRT monitors for the higher sync you get on them. I guess those are the individuals that are most interested in this:)
Doesn't look like either. When I click the link, all I get is a large page that want to "give me" an iphone 5 as the lucky winner. How did this page pass the editors?
The N4 (which has been out for about a year) does not have this issue at all. In fact, I've not seen it on any android phone that came out the last year. The last time I experienced a small UI lag on times was with the 3 year old HTC Desire. It kind of helped that 4.0+ went with HW accelerated UI.
Probably not the banks, they would have to get involved with tons of small companies offering credit cards. It is much easier to hit visa or mastercard directly as all the transactions pass through them.
So the option left is running open source software on your computer with local strong encryption and pray that the chips don't have nasty microcode in them.
It is only essential when you make a crappy web 2.0 dynamic "web app".
I hate with a passion when web pages try to do fancy things like open windows inside a web page that don't respond to the browser back button or make links rely on java script.
I managed to make perfectly fine web pages around 2000 without javascript. We just did it with regular HTML and.. wait for it.. server side code.
Having to load a new page is not bad and you get the added bonus of making the back/forward/bookmark buttons work again.
99% of the javascript used in out there is imho just crap and completely unnecessary to deliver the information the webpage is supposed to do.

How DRM Won

Both spotify and youtube can cache files locally for travel. I'm pretty sure the apple stuff can too, but I'm not familiar with that eco system.
The best of course would be no drm, but then you could just download the whole shebang and never pay again.
If I at any point feel that the paid content offers less than the "free", I will chose the free one. And that happens quite often:)
Just like all other native apps (including those on iphone os). You can't run them on CPU architectures other than the ones you build for, so you would have to supply separate binaries for x86, ARM or MIPS systems.
Netflix has aged content, at least in my country it was 2-3 seasons behind, no one will rip that.
Pirates don't rip streaming media but Blurry discs or something of higher quality. Regular users download their stuff if not using a service like this.
You lock out a lot of users/platforms denting bottom line.
They might be worried that people will "copy" the stuff when viewing for later viewing without subscription? Again, you have much better/higher quality sources for this type of behavior

Nettvalutaen Bitcoins beskattes /. heading.

Quite different heading than the
Translated it just means "Bitcoins are to be taxed".

I just watched this clip of Magnus where he beats 10 Harward lawyers blind folded :)
Quite impressive memory.
He reminds me a bit of Rainman sometimes.

The brain is only 2% of the mass, but actually accounts for 20% of the energy usage.
I suspect Magnus might use even more when he is really thinking.
Personally I can get exhausted for long periods of heavy brain use, and this championship lasts for 100 hrs.
I'd not be too sure I wouldn't call it a sport.

So, this technology could be used in the xbox it self?
Is it already? I'm not sure if it shows adds at all as I don't own any.
Doesn't look like either.

Now the real question is 88 mph in relation to what? :)
I have newest linux, X and XFCE on a dual pentium pro 200 mhz. It has a bit more ram, but it still is about 18 years old.
I must admit, I don't run big regression analysis in R on this one, but it works fine for when friends want to browse the web a bit.
It also fits nicely in my "museum" :)
I have linux om an old dual ppro 200 MHz. Works like a charm :)

They already have access to the back end servers. No log in needed.
But it won't make it harder for them either. Maybe they can bypass the FISA courts and those pesky opinions if they can just log into the accounts.
So the option left is running open source software on your computer with local strong encryption and pray that the chips don't have nasty microcode in them.
I'm already there :)
I'm not a fan of things not open source, but claiming that any device (including iphone) just works is just silly market speak.
My boss was fighting his new iphone 5 yesterday to install something but the market app kept crashing and he had to hard reboot the phone every time.
He was almost begging to get his old windows phone back.
So there exists some people that prefer windows over the apple one for real reasons :)

Minecraft perhaps?
I also really enjoy Kerbal Space Program, I can't say I've seen many sandbox space games based on physics in this way before.
The rehash phenomena is not limited to games either. You see it in moveies (is there nothing but remakes and reboots now?) and TV shows.
I guess it's how Fry puts it in Futurama. People don't want to be surprised, they feel stupid.
I only need one or two good games.
99% of the new AAA games for windows are only rehashes of older ones with DRM/DLC/always on.
Good games like kerbal space program, transport tycoon deluxe, EVE Online runs fine in Linux :)
Yes, I know a lot of people like bad rehashed "AAA" fps games, but most of them play on console anyway no?
Care to show proof of this, or is it just a lot of hot air?
I couldn't find anything like that in my searching.
I don't get it.

Grrr...
Google shut down USENET? :)
Or do you mean their interface to it?
I can still read my groups in gnus..
