  1. Although Bowie didn't actually make these ones.... on New Propaganda Series: Rebirth · · Score: 2

This series of Propaganda tiles were created by Nadu Sundar, so lets all give him a pat on the back for continuing with Bowie's site.

I suppose it's a bit of a shame it's not immediatly obvieous on that site that these tiles were created by someone else.

Before the CVS server died, Geoff was working on KDE hints, so I'd guess he'll have them pretty much done by now, but we can't get at :(

Bleading Edge hacker types run 2.2? Hrm. It's the stable kernel for distribution now. Anyone with RedHat 6 or whatever the latest Debian version is (Potato or something) will have this exploit. RedHat better have a fix up on their server pretty damn swiftly.

    1) It didn't have a search system anyway.
    2) They never sent anything to the list with any insulting comments about E users.

You really thought that they'd write to pretty much all of the serious E users telling them they were 'festering' around Raster?

They've been unprofessional, but that's just plain childish.

  7. SMP & 2.2 & Dual P2-233 on Ask Slashdot: Is SMP worth it? · · Score: 1

I believe that you should do

    alias make="make -j(num of procs+1)"

or am I wrong? I think it says that in either the kernel source (smp.txt)

The next time you compile the kernel, when running a SMP kernel,
edit linux/Makefile and change "MAKE=make" to "MAKE=make -jN"
(where N = number of CPU + 1, or if you have tons of memory/swap
you can just use "-j" without a number). Feel free to experiment
    with this one.

I've you've been to e.themes.org recently you'll notice that there is quite alot of original stuff from me, including the new theme and screenshot gallery.

To be perfectly honest, the docs on www.e.org suck, so go to http://cfg.will.enlighte.nu, which tells you pretty much everything about E's config.

I never said don't use it. I said don't bitch when it doesn't work. It works every day for me too, but if you can't get it to work, you could always wait for the official release.

  12. Erm, that's cos it's CVS on Enlightenment and The Rasterman · · Score: 1

Unless you didn't notice, DR0.15 is in cvs cos it's not really for the 'normal user' to use. I'm not saying that it's going to die and crash X or something, but if it dies, forgive it. Don't expect perfection, especially from something where even the people who wrote it say it's imperfect.

Anyway, those RPMs from GNOME are pretty out fo date now. Get some new ones from e.themes.org, then see if it seg-faults.
