  1. Re:sphere on Roundest Object In the World Created · · Score: 3, Informative
close. Easier to determine atom count with a sphere. something like..

number of atoms = (volume * density) / mass of silicon atom

With the volume of a perfect sphere simply being

    Pi*r^3 (I think)

It's also much much easier to test for the perfection of a sphere over any other geometric shape. All you do is spin it with slight axis rotation while a laser is pointed at it, and measure the distance.

The problem is one of those "where to begin, where to end" issues.

critical thinking on the origins of life and evolution aren't completely the same. You can have a belief that an all power being created life, and that evolution happened from there, and it makes them different subjects with a point in common.

Anyway, the issue with critical thinking on the origins of life is when religion is mentioned. Which religion is mentioned? All of them or none of them are the only fair options.

Leaving out any religion once you begin to mention them is giving insufficient information for proper analysis.

Because a non-profit simply requires that the company has a net gain of $0 at the end of the fiscal year... meaning they can just give out all of their net income to salary bonuses and be considered non-profit.

    Also

That's $1000 per Canadian, but that 4 billion in annual profit would come back to us, which means the purchase pays for itself in 8-9 years.

    and

why wouldn't we (as a nation) buy out Bell and convert it into a federally-mandated non-profit ?

    bit of a contradiction there..

Don't you watch myth busters? The cheapest scanner they bought was the hardest one to beat with the fake prints.. and wouldn't a detached finger still be real enough to.. at most shove a 9volt battery into the end of, and warm it in your hand to make it get past any RF scanner? (Don't know if electricity is needed for the RF, but you said conductive.. so thought I'd check) Did you do your testing involving someone who had already signed his body off to science, and registered into the device while alive? You know.. so you can chop off his finger once he dies..

And the reason they are allowed to do that? They can't be expected to just hand over their business to competitors.
What I mean is the following situation is completely unrealistic; what will be claimed in court; and Why they can do this to you.

Assume They have a cost of $30/month per DSL line.
Assume you resell your line at $50/month.
Assume your package of tech support quality, email addresses, special features, and customer care were all so grossly superior in 'likability' that all of SBC's customers flocked to you.

Yes, they still make $37.99/month per customer you have.. giving them a profit of $7.99/month per customer(minus expenses). You on the other hand, are gaining 11.99/month per customer(minus expenses).

After a while, it's expected that you may attempt to buy them out to get your cost down by $7.99/month+their expenses(as it would be an unwanted redundancy) further.

It could be considered over jurisdiction of the U.S. Government to force them to maintain their profit margin as lower then the profit margin of those they are whole selling to
