When I got my Pre in July 2009, I thought it was light years ahead of Apple and Android on the intuitiveness and on many levels, it still is. The card system is bliss, the notification system is easy to use, understand, and operate, and the OS never crashed. The Touchstone will always be my favorite perph as I could assign any number of macros to my phone when I placed it on to disable data and notifications for nighttime when I didn't need to be bothered with emails.
Where they failed is in hardware. The original Pre should've been the Pre Plus, with the next step being something even bigger and better than what the Pre 2 is. It's too little, too late, and they will be irrelevant by 2012. We were promised Flash support by February *last* year, the app catalog is a failure in many fronts, and the overall build quality of the device left a lot to be desired.
Oh, and if you plan on using your device after you transfer the service to a new phone, you have to cripple the device beyond use to use it. No more OTA updates, even over WiFi, no app catalog at all, and no calls ever again. Stupid.

That is has been a problem of sorts since the bombardment of TV and print ads for Rx drugs. Why do they feel they need to advertise them? You can't just go and buy them OTC.
They always take their store down when they launch a new product or drastic changes. I was hoping Palm was doing the same.
A minor inconvenience is all it was at best. Oh noes, I can't buy an app for 2-3 hours!!! zOMG call in the military!
Amazon for not load-testing their emergency backup power on a regular basis, not having more than one connection the power grid, and the power grid for not having redundancies.
Our aging power grid is really beginning to show on so many levels that this is going to become a lot more common over the coming years.
It's a damn tablet! Not every bloody piece of technology is supposed to be able to have something to do with Linux. You want Linux on your tablet? Too bad, go buy a Netbook.

I stopped downloading it on the torrent sites because I never found a quality encode job that was worth the bandwidth.
Meh, formats come and go in favor of better more modern solutions. I think the bigger note here is that HandBrake now supports 64-bit processor encoding.
It's next to impossible to find a gas station that does not have Ethanol in it's fuel. It doesn't help that two huge ADM plants are with in 90 minutes of where I live.
Regardless, there is a single Shell station in the area that has 93 octane V-power that is without ethanol. The cost different of $0.30/gal is offset by the noticeable decrease in fuel consumption, increased power, and smoothing the idle.
Yes, my car is tuned to require at least 91 octane.
I feel this discussion probably happened when the upgrade from SNES to N64 occurred. Back then, who could think of the next big revolution in gaming now that it was 3D?
They will find something new, no doubt. Just a matter of how long of a gap between Wii and the new generation console.
