All they have to do is start selling the electric motor they put in the Roadster.
Anyone who has looked into doing an electric car conversion can tell you the motor in the roadster is much better than anything else on the market in terms of size to power output. They have the market locked down though so you can't buy them.
While on the surface this sounds like a great idea, I can't help but look back on 15 years of developing software and realize that the people who were the best at with the technical issue were usually the worst at handling the personell and political issues. Just because you good at something doesn't mean you are good at getting other people to do the same thing. It seems that there is a balance point somewhere between business people and tech savy people they need to find.
It sounds like he was modding consoles for other people. The article states: Last May, ICE agents executed a federal search warrant at Crippen's home, where they seized more than a dozen Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony video game consoles.
One of the best things I read in Michael Pollans "In Defense of Food" was that an apple grown today has only about 30% of the nutrients of one grow 50 years ago probably because the spend so much less time on the vine and in very nutrient stared soil. This is probably one of the reason we are all getting so fat, we are eating 3 times as much to get the same nutrients.
There is one caveat: Symantec counts only those security flaws that have been confirmed by the vendor. According to security monitoring company Secunia, there are 19 security issues that Microsoft still has to deal with for Internet Explorer, while there are only three for Firefox.
So I wonder if they updated their article once M$FT confirms the other 19 issues they are researching
Also wonder how much M$FT Paid them to write the article.....
I tried installing JDK1.5 on my workstation but, the installshield recognizes drive's with large free space( >4gb) as negative drive space and won't install it.....!!! DOH! I wish there was a zip file I could just DL.
We run Apache 1.3.22 and had to add the SSLCertificateChanFile directive in each virtual server. This was the only way to get Internet Explorer to update the Intermediate Cert the way it was supposed to.

it's so instead of just getting annoying script errors you will get a BSOD when a web page has errors.

Almost correct, BEOS actually had widgets before the Konfabulator did. I forget the actual name of them but, BEOS certinally was ahead of it's time.
Why do you want to put a crappy OS on MAC hardware? If you want an intel machine just go buy one.....
How about NeoOfficeJ?? http://www.planamesa.com/neojava/en/index.php

I believe this was removed just prior to the 2.0 release. I would be much nicer to have an xml config file for apache.
Ditto, The guy is a bit of a windows zealot. He has a very narrow MS point of view.

I can remember when basic was 'cross platform', does that make me an antique?
Does anyone know how to integrate the Google Desktop with the Google Deskbar?

what is probably missing is and the ability to decode non-quantum encrypted conversations...
The install is a breeze.
Both Gome2.4 and KDE3.2 work very well.
I've had some issues with my Haupauge card though.
The 2.6 kernel seems to be working fine.
I can see myself using this quite a bit.
Seriously, Some of this stuff is extremely nit picky, Don't you guys have anything better to do?
HP imdenifies it's customers against any and all claims by SCO if you purchase a linux system from HP.

I posted this on Monday morning. I guess it's better late than never for /.
This is a pretty cheap price for Micro$oft to rid them selves of a competitor. I think they are getting off real cheap.
They call this music http://www.hatchmusic.com/
It would be nice if it would work around firewalls, do the whole dynamic port thing.
I like that little detail in the contest rules.
Hey, if you can't inovate, then buy...... that's the Micro$oft way.
