    Now all you have to do is come up with enough evidence to get charges brought and a conviction. Plus. You need to figure out who has juristiction. If they were just telling stories or giving out information, that would be free speech. These guys are asking for money under false pretenses, this makes it fraud.

    it shouldn't make any difference who looks at it. Linux and Unix are generally considered more secure than Windows but all the source code is available for anyone to look at.

    she leaves her office unlocked and her computer on and logged in. She used to complain about people going into her office and looking through her computer, and other stuff, when she wasn't there.

    I turned on her screen saver password and let her know the password. She screamed like a banshee at me until I turned the password back off.

    Go figure... I'm pretty sure she uses nothing more than slide-to-unlock on her phone as well.

    Unless I really like the product. I don't generally take the time to do a good review. If I'm only satisfied with the product, I don't bother with a review. I have other things to do.

    Most of the time, if I take the time to post a review, it's because I'm not particularly happy with my purchase.

    My Android devices have been doing this as well lately, especially my Pixel C, and I get it. The problem is that I realize that the network has some reliability issues when I choose to connect to it but it's what's available without using up my cellular data allowances. All the available WiFi in the area is about the same as far as reliability goes. My choices are to tolerate it, or go to my home or office for a "reliable" connection.

    Netflix basic accounts expect 2 - 3 simultaneous streams. One person can normally watch one at a time. In talking to Netflix support, I have even told them that 2 - 3 may be using it at one time and it didn't seem to faze them at all.

    The early 80's. Put 3 - Shugart SA-800Rs on it for floppy drives. DC hayes 300 baud S-100 modem. Zenith Z-19 was my original terminal on it. GE Terrminet 1200 & Centronics 101A printers. Helped a friend put together an IMSAI 8080 not too long before that.

    A local lawyer bucked the rules on it and posted all the state laws on their website for all to see. A couple of years of many of the other lawyers in the state trying to force them to shut down that part of their website and the state relented. Now the State of Alaska has them posted in a searchable database on the official state website.

    And why should I use it in place of email or the telephone?

    Because keeping up with a dozen team members in geographically, time zone and time schedule diverse places is a pain. More than once I have ended up working with instructions or a document that had been superseded and I was unaware of the fact that it had been superseded.

    You end up in a situation with a dozen people hitting "reply all" or calling each other on the telephone leaving messages. While you're listening to one message or talking to one person, three others call and leave more messages and sending emails in between.

    Maybe Slack isn't "The" answer, maybe it still needs some work, but it's a step in the right direction.

    I'd be curious as to what those "major differences" are. In my book, both Android and Chrome OS quality as Linux. They are both open source and both are built on the Linux Kernel.

  21. Recently my Nexus 5 has been doing this as well. Shuts off with between 30% & 50% battery and I can't get it stay on until I plug it into a charger. Then it's OK for a day or so, then we do it again.

    1) Paper is not readable under all circumstances. You need acceptable light. You need functioning eyes. If it's been wet, it's probably gone (my data is backed up)

    2) Put paper in a file and come back in ten years and bugs & vermin have gotten to it, there's been a fire. Your paper no longer exists. I suppose acid free paper might help, but I've only heard about it, I've never seen it.

    3) People have been editing paper for years. Look at all the trouble the banks go to secure checks and make sure people don't edit them.

    One of my favorites. I would like to find a new copy, though. Mine is a paperback given to me by a friend back in the early 1980s. I have to be very careful when I read it now.
