Thank you for the info, the T-Mobile hack sounds pretty neat actually, even if they do find you and charge you $30 like you say.

  2. On that note on In Iran, Blogging May Be Punishable By Death · · Score: 1

Oh good, they should do that here too with people who put up SPLOGS. Just kidding of course, I know this is a serious matter. Next time people bitch about Western democracies one should just point to Iran's politics...

  3. death trap savings on VW Concept Microcar Gets 235 MPG · · Score: 1

I'd LOVE to see a gas saver that's not a total death trap. Imagine getting hit at 80mph on the freeway by a truck while you're sitting in one of those. So you're saving on gas but lose your life in the process. What's the point?

  4. rediculous on AT&T To Offer No-Contract iPhone · · Score: 2, Insightful

So even if you fork out the full price for an unlocked iPhone you can still only use it on AT&T anyways? Absurd! With all of iPhone/Apple/AT&T restrictions it's amazing that people are still flocking in masses to buy the gadget. SHEEP!

  5. What is "vim"? on Best Color Scheme For Coding, Easiest On the Eyes? · · Score: 1

Sorry silly question but what's a "vim"? I've been working with LCDs since 1999 (paid a fortune for a crappy 15 incher back then) and let's just say the quality has improved by worlds since then. Love my Dell 24s! :) Although there's a difference between them, the more expensive one is pretty perfect, the cheaper version seems to "flicker". It's like I can actually see the screen refresh rate, even though both monitors are set at 60Hz.

  6. Price? C'mon! on Dial-Up Users "Don't Want Broadband" · · Score: 1

The reasoning here doesn't make sense - price? I don't know about the rest of the Nation but in my area DSL service is about $25. Unless those dial-up users are getting it for free , "price" shouldn't really be the issue.
