    I am sure someone would make a "open source" 3D printer design.

    because of an "unfortunate human error" the design will be in the DRM database. similar to public-domain videos in Youtube's Content-ID database.

  3. this is new insofar as it is an official government document. The common knowledge you mentioned was mostly based on (plausible) assumptions and verbal statements of politicians/law-enforcement spokespersons.

    I'll consider being impressed by 3D printing as soon as someone actually starts doing something useful with it.

    This is IMO impressive: Instead of shipping plastic parts around the world the company simply published CAD files. It's a start.

    10 minutes ago. even twice (Barracuda's SSL VPN tunneling thingy is based on Java, and our web-based CPOE uses Java to print barcodes*)

    So...what does that leave Sweden? Lots of taxes or something.

    "something" includes companies like AstraZeneca, Electrolux and H&M, and no one is forced to perform "Let It Be" to pay medical bills for an 11 month old child.
