Speed wise we already have reached the barrier. Four years ago Intel promised us that they would produce 10ghz single core cpu. As of 2008 they can't even produce 5ghz duel core cpu -- each core 5ghz. One of the reason AMD & Intel star labeling their cpu with names rather number was due to speed barrier.

Apple creates a good products -- some time. None the less most of their products are expensive -- way more expensive then they should be. I paid for my Mini-Mac over $1000 Canadian dollar, that just is not right. Why? Because values of Canadian dollar is higher therefore Mac - Mini should've cost me no more then $400. This has been pointed out many times by many people in media -- even by mac-heads freaks. No one can deny that OS-X is a wonderful operating system -- compare to Vista. And it's Unix core gives it a very strong security. Non-the-less we are paying very too much for the hardware. And TPM chip software consumes way too much resource. TPM is design to prevent OSX running on a typical x86 hardware. Their behavior is not only illegal but unethical.

Those of you who are not aware of TPM. Think of TPM like old South African government -- White didn't want non-white to have same right or live in a same community. The same way Mac doesn't want non-mac x86 to have OSX. So they created a software which will make sure osx only runs of x86 with TPM chip. TPM is an Apple version of apartheid.

Apple is an evil twin of Microsoft.

Apple never admits that there anything wrong with their products. Never. This is one of the reason Mac is known as evil twin of Microsoft. Both companies tries to lock customers into their brand. I recently bought Mini-Mac and I had few issues with it. For example Finder doesn't distinguish between files and folders. My KDE would list folders first, and then files -- when asked regarding this in Mac Group. They didn't like my question -- pointing out why "Vista" sucks. This is one of the reason why OSX will remain a minority operating system. Mac products are not fit for Business environment, nor for serious users. It's not the price why people don't buy iMac, it's the freedom. Machead can not understand this concepts.

For example; my intel based hardware runs Linux without any major issue. I must say I am not big fan of AMD. They sucks big time. At their peak they started charing more and more for their filthy CPU, and they campe up with Orwellian CPU numbers, and now became industry standarded. AMD & ATI sucks! Now that Chinese are making CPU, and I hopoing they will start selling them in western market -- I will buy it in a 2nd.

AMD got greedy long time ago. As their market share increased they hiked up the priced of their CPU. Guess what happened? Most of the users moved back into Intel fold -- myself included. Another AMD's cpu lost its value -- AMD just like Intel were telling everyone that they will be producing 10Ghz cpu (a single core 32bit). Of course just like Intel they hit the wall, and this is why both companies are adding more cores into the cpu rather then icreasing the speed of every sigle core. At the moment both companies can not produce 5Ghz cpu nevermind 10Ghz. Apple is another reason why AMD no longer matters. Ever since Steve Jobs moved his mac to x86 most of us techno users started buying Mac friendly hard-ware. In my case I even bought Mac-Mini very solid, and stable hardware. Good for family.

As a long time Linux User, I would love to see Linux take over the desktop mainstream computers. Today, this is not a pie in the sky thing; Linux is becoming desktop of a choice. There are companies who are selling their laptops with Linux -- so called mini-laptop are mostly Linux power.
Also, most home users, and business users may not embrace Windows 7. Remember Seven is based on Vista. So if a person doesn't like Vista then he/she will not be in love with latter.
Finally, we should also consider what's going on in OS market. In the past we had only one company providing Operating System to x86 hardware. Now, however, situation has change to some degree. Some companies are researching on Virtual desktop where you can run multi os. Also, I have a feeling sooner or later some desktop makers will start suing Apple for Anti-competitive practices. They may also pressure Intel to stop selling cpu to Apple unless apple open up its operating system. Afterall, it's OSX can be install on non apple hardware, but dictator Steve Job has told his SS Nazi to deliberately cripple it. There will be some legal action against such pratice. Or better yet Steve Jobs may die soon, which may bring some open-minded person who will start selling osx to intel base companies. After all apple used to hate intel then Steve bin Job would embrace x86 hardware.

My laptop Sony Vaio came with Windows Vista premimum, and I downgraded with XP, and I am duel booting it with Linux/Kubuntu. According to Microsoft I am part of one of these 180 Million "Vista Users". Now most of you have heard this story before, but I'll add mine to the party. My friend bought her computer last year, and it came with Vista too, she asked me to downgrade it with XP. So, now you guys can see how Microsoft "add" these computers to their "Vista" numbers. Funny thing is that Microsoft itself admits that people don't like Vista! Mojave Experiment is an excellent proof. Now, of course Microsoft blames their "XP Users" for not liking it. The truth is Vista users like myself hate it. Even though I consider myself a Linux user, I was open minded towards Vista. I said to myself, well, I have Vista in my notebook might as well give it shoot. I tell you kids, it sucks. And I have a very good laptop. 1.8Ghz Pentium Dual Core, 2gig rams, and 200gig hard drive (now partition into four" two are ext3 & swap). Linux & XP runs so fast. Now, I can run ten different appliations, plus watch a video, download torrent, irc, and burn a DVD. My point is simple Microsoft so called Vista users are people like myself who bought a new machine, and it came with Vista. The good news is that my new desktop is Mac Mini -- this means Microsoft can't add it their growing list of non existance Vista users.

This is what I don't understand about these Mac fan is, how can they afford to defend someone who screw them up? I mean look at the phone -- they should come with lid so you can replace the battery! Motorola just send a battery b/c my six months old battery was not charging well. How would Apple handle such a problem? $140 canadian dollars for service! And $40 for "renting" a borrowed phone! Anyway, the only apple product I like is mac-mini but I wouldn't even defend it b/c it has its flaws. OSX wouldn't expect more the 4GIG of rams, file folders are not organzed properly, and so on. And the oonly reason I bought is b/c I need an alternative to Vista which can run MS Office, and my family don't have to worry about malware, and spyware. LCD iMac as you know are cool looking, but some of them they came with a design flaw -- a vertical line shows up on them after 12 months of usage. Apple would not allow any major posting on their site, and almost always delete them. Also there was a petition about iphone --- some people want more service provider, and and with replaceable battery -- I need not telling you how it went on their site.
