If I have to go to any of these restaurants (probably in a group where I have no input) I wouldn't be paying in anything other than cash.

If they're data mining they're probably not bothering to fix the things that are really wrong...

Once enough money has changed hands, everyone will be satisfied.

Except of course the people who have to download everything they want to watch or access with a day or so wait for the download to complete.

  5. Order from Wal-Mart, or Whole-Amazon Foods, and have an autonomous vehicle deliver my groceries to me.

I don't even trust myself when I'm driving, I constantly monitor all the traffic around me for the impending stupidity of drunk/unlicensed/douche drivers.

Otherwise, back to a flip phone. They're fine for texting and making/receiving phone calls. Not so good for youtube or facebook, and that's a good thing.

  7. For google play to get a whole lot more serious about application security checks before allowing them to become available.

The play store should be held (financially/legally) responsible when issues like this occur.

Simply pulling from the store amounts to little more than sweeping the problem under the rug.

Because if the existing devices are truly bricked, that's about the only way (short of device replacement) that is going to solve this.

Beware gentle readers, some television companies don't include a built-in tuner with their televisions anymore.
