So what happens if MS loses the patent claims to Google? Does the "Microsoft tax" get paid to Google instead? Or just gets them invalidated for being obvious?
Seriously, "a record button on a computer system"... what the hell, US patent system. What the hell?
Yes, it's a white good, and it'll be disposed of just like other white goods. Although considering that this is a cold fus... I mean LENR reactor, you may have to drain the snake oil first.
I'm an Australian who has visited Hawaii. I'm not surprised at this result, Hawaii is lovely. The people were nice, lots of attractive people on the beaches but without the pretension of Californian beaches, seemed to be a healthy local economy, good food, relatively low population density (I'm guessing, there seemed to be a lot of open space), good climate and relatively prosperous.
The simple answer, to prevent cheating in tests. It's a limited use device that typically can only be used for the intended purpose. (I'm sure some have worked out a way to cheat with them, but if they're inventive enough to cheat with them then they generally have useful life skills and should probably pass anyway, pity about the moral implications though).
The instructions don't tell you to take off the gloves either. Hope the person removes them before peeing or picking their nose.
I must be stupid. I've cut birds eye chilli up and twice now made the mistake of going for a pee. I'd say that I'd never do it again, but I said the same thing the first time I did it.
This all seems to depend on the assumption that people won't take an interest in cooking. Some will, some won't... exactly the same as now. The microwave oven came along and yet chefs still exist and are innovating.
Make yourself a household name (to a small focus audience) by going on Dragon's Den! If it's good enough for the I.T. Crowd, then it's good enough for/.
Yeah, Snow Crash. Last night I happened to catch an 'indie' comedy on one of our Aussie channels called something like "Party Down" with a 10 minute discussion on Snow Crash at the start and references throughout the episode, it was similar to Entourage and I was saddened.:)
Surely the proactive response is to market the current generation product, while synergising a coordinated strategy towards pushing market share towards the new market paradigm?

What's a Yahoo?
A Yahoo?
I get lots of work done at work. It's the only place that i work. If you aren't getting work done at work, then you're doing it wrong.
Yes, because what works for you, works for everyone.
Did you get your work done though? If you did, then it shouldn't matter if you telecommute.
Yup, and I'm waiting for the NBN detractors to jump on and start complaining about "Just because France/Korea/etc do it, why should we?"
The U.S Dollar is backed by the military! Bitcoin is backed by "economic terrorist"!
Ultimately, the *only* thing backing a currency is the confidence of those who use it.
You guys change your story every week.
So changing your opinion in the face of evidence instead of holding onto a blind belief is a bad thing?

Your screen name is liquidretro and you can't see why people would want to wear such a hipster label as USPS? It's SOOOO 20th century, man!

...And wash your hands when you're done chopping.
Water, and either soap or detergent. Capsaicin isn't water soluble.
It's an update of a classic gadget that a lot of /.ers would have used. Geeks get nostalgic about gadgets, that's why it belongs here.

Graphing calculators are typically required in advanced math courses anyway.
FTFY.
Nobody pays to see a robot poll dance...
Unless they're from Diebold.

Yup, plenty. Lots of other slashdotters have provided links, I'm just going to sit here and wonder why dashcams imply some sort of prejudice to you?

Except the law doesn't work via compromise.
Ever heard of a plea bargain?

I'm saddened by your choice to 'first' after reading your screen name.
It's supposed to be 1 per buzzword, you still owe me some.

I just gagged a little writing that.
So you want him to fail, or are you saying something else?
