Cutting and polishing the ends of fiber is no big deal. You have to know what you're doing and have good equipment. Every end has to be cut and carefully polished so light can pass cleanly through.

Ok so you sign up for a license when you buy a tv or anything capable of receiving tv signals (tv card). What about if you buy a tv second hand, or find one sitting out for the garbage? What if you were to buy parts and build a tv from scratch?
I watched three drives labeled IBM with maxtor chipsets die within a year period. All were 2.1 gig UW scsi. Same goes for those 1.2 gig low profile seagate drives.
I use the most hated OS on slashdot (nt4) and have no problems playing it. Maybe you should ask the guy who writes xanim to get some codecs. Cinepak was popular in 1994.
No one would even consider buying this thing, but because it runs linux that makes it ok. Imagine the shock and horror if MS released a half assed palmtop computer.

Last night on TLC there was a story about cameras in england. Some guy was up late (4am) and went to the store a few blocks away to buy some smokes. When he gets back to his apartment the police are waiting for him and questioning his identity.
Now he did nothing illegal, so why were the police ready to arrest him? If you let your freedom slowly be taken away one day you will wake up and wonder where it all went.

Your script must be run by some OS, correct? What if they use a boot disk? Or hook the drive up to another box for examination?
