    And as I recall there still isn't even decent framebuffer support for low end sgi's. Kind of useless to run a computer built especially for its graphics abaility in text mode.

    Recharge time is a killer. Want to drive cross country? That will take you a month. Drive 300 miles, plug in and wait overnight, repeat. Gasoline still has the advantage that you can refuel in minutes and be on your way.

    If you had bothered doing some research you would have found add on programs that replace the windows explorer shell with unix look alikes. One is a clone of the afterstep WM.

    No one ever said "unix has no software" we claimed it all sucks compared to commerial apps.

    Your ignorance can only put in you in the same class as people like Signal 11 or slashdot-terminal.

    I'm sick of people spouting off all these stupid open protocols that never even leave the ground. Who uses bluetooth? No one. Who uses ogg vorbis? maybe 100 opensource geeks who are scared frauenhoffer might sue them. Ever hear of VQF? its been out for years and rivals mp3 in every way but no one uses it either.

    Anyhow I'm just sick of all this junk that never leaves the drawing board. Netwinder anyone? $2500 for a small server with an IDE hard drive.

    Ever hear of VQF? Go to www.vqf.com and check it out. The files are 50% smaller than mp3 and sound MUCH better. VQF has been out for years but I have yet to see a single file using it. For listening to my own cds its great.

    Seriously get a life. Multiple off site computers? Whats the big deal about spewing decss everywhere? Its gotten old really fast, just as fast as ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US.

    A similar violation to the first ammendment is standing on a corner and shouting out peoples names and their associated credit card numbers. When someone makes them stop is that a violation of freedom of speech? I would just like to know where you draw the line. After all, information wants to be free.

    How the hell are they supposed to get power? Is the coke can going to have a battery built in? If it did how much power do you think it could radiate? Cell phones put out a few watts of RF, so far research hasn't proved anything definite as to how tissue is effected.

    What makes this different than a serial number stamped on something? A simple chip with a number burned in. Thats all.

    Think before you jump to conclusions.
