How do you deal with new hardware from companies that build $500 POS trash boxes like gateway and compaq? They use some cheap video chipset that takes xfree86 a year to build drivers for.
Why not try to change laws you don't like instead of blatantly breaking them? It doesn't make your case look good. Thats the same as killing a bunch of people in protest of murder laws.
Its called common sense. If you lay down in the middle of a highway and get run over, do you sue the person who ran you over? No because it was your decesion to do something dangerous. How about holding a firecracker in your hand? Do you sue the manufacturer because they made something dangerous? No because you know firecrackers explode and its YOUR fault for holding it in your hand.
Thanks to this woman every cup must have a warning label stating its contents are hot. No shit its hot its called coffee, did I think there would be ice cubes floating in it?
This is almost as bad as the old lady who spilled hot coffee on her lap or the asshole woman suing nike for shoelaces coming untied. Too bad the judge didn't call the lady a dumbass for putting hot coffee in her lap and throw the case out of court. That single case opened the door for all these stupid lawsuits. I should sue ford because for 100 years they never put a warning label on the gas pedal.
Thats not going to help the newbies who are running every service and go on irc and get 0wned in a few minutes. Why enable everything when the majority of people don't use them?
What do you think the biggest priority of a billion dollar company is, making people happy? Why do you think all intels chips are made in malaysia? Thats what companies are supposed to do, make money. If you were head of intel I bet your biggest concern would be the profit margin. The world revolves around money, get used to it.
Text books are "password protected" right now. You can't access one unless you pay for it, "getting the password". Whats the big deal? Can you take out a library book forever, or do you have to return it after a set time? Same thing.
Just how is this restricting my free flow of ideas? The only restriction they are putting on is a time limit. What about the library? Its still free, nothing is going to replace paper books any time soon. About the napster issues, how are tools designed to illegaly break copyrighted material helping anything? It sure didn't help the decss movement. Had someone followed the law and written a legal player for linux you wouldn't be in this mess. But then again I forgot how much zealots hate to pay for anything.
Somehow I think buying a book is still a hell of a lot cheaper than buying a computer and paying for internet access to learn.
Rendering with linux is just used for pure grunt work, theres no guy sitting at the screen using gimp to render millions of frames. Its probably being done using software developed in-house like titanic did.
Its like renting a movie for a few days, that doesn't give you the right to keep it forever or make copies of copyrighted material. Next I suppose you will be going after libraries because they have a limit on how long you can take out books.
My next point is if you don't like it then don't fucking buy it! If the idea sucks people won't buy it, the result being failure. Look at the big deal about divx, its totally extinct now.
Hmmm all those professional art/special effects studios must be wrong. Where are some gimp vs. photoshop benchmarks? Last time I checked gimp lacked several major features that prevent it from being used professionally.
Early versions of VMS like to use all caps for the system and commands. I remember looking around an old MicroVAX II and seeing how programs end in.EXE like dos.
He's saying how TV can shorten a childs attention span thanks to channels like mtv that switch scenes every 2 or 3 seconds. Thats why kids can't sit down for any length of time and concentrate on something.
Its no better than that pokemon bullshit designed to sell games/cards/action figures. The wonderful hero battles something evil and always wins because he turns into a giant spinning turtle with flames coming out his ass. The only good cartoon that held my interest (besides simpsons/futurama) was The Maxx on mtv. Bring back that show Liquid Television so we can see Aeon Flux again.
Please elaborate on how NT4 has worse standards than linux. In case you didn't know the option pack provides a lot of POSIX tools.

Sony is pretty strapped for cash now that you didn't spend that $200.

Whats on the compaq partition is the diagnostic utilities. Hit F10 or F12 when you see the block in the upper right corner.
A huge asteroid could come along and smack the earth right out of orbit.
Reminds me of the planet of the apes movies. Especially the second one where the people with psychokinetic powers live underground in the old subway.
I mean yeah, he cut taxes and gave people their money back. That bastard!
They are having problems because the sun techs set up the server with the default settings and left ebay to take care of the rest.

Your isp's local news server. The way usenet was meant to be read.

He said he wants 4 speaker output! I'm suprised no one has suggested a card based on the vortex2 chipset.
Just rot-13 it? They will spend months trying to figure out what forms of encryption you used.
