    It's pretty easy to not drink and drive

    If you avoid drinking, or driving, altogether it is. Otherwise, it becomes somewhat of a guessing game. Even if you spend the night, you can still be intoxicated in the morning.

    Fact is, what you put on the Internet about yourself is public.

    These photos could have been posted by anybody. I've even looked at random profiles of people I don't even know and found photos with me in them. It's quite difficult to put a stop to that.

    Maintaining an address book is hard work. Facebook does all that work for you. It's no surprise that something like Facebook became popular because it's extremely useful.

    I also live on a farm, and have my own grain farming operation. Without a three crop rotation, disease is inevitable.

    Even with today's prices, corn isn't all that profitable anyway. Cost of production will be close to $5.00/bu. next year. I can only sell that crop today for $5.35. $0.35 profit is peanuts. I'd be much better off growing wheat or soybeans.

    Except you can't continue to grow corn year after year. Crop rotation requires at least three crops to be effective; typically corn, soybeans, and wheat. While you can get away with breaking the cycle for a few years, ultimately the other crops are still going to find their way on to the land, even if they are less profitable.

    At yet, grain commodities dropped significantly the last couple of days. So much for biofuels being the cause of higher food prices.

    The only interesting thing about the iPhone is the software and coming up with something that is better than Mobile OS X would be a pretty large undertaking. Although Android may certainly help get us there sooner than later.

    Except Safari follows future standards (CSS 3, for example) instead of making up it's own random "standards" like IE 6 did.

    I do have fast user switching enabled, but I have not switched or logged out of my current account since the last reboot. Perhaps having it enabled is enough?

    Linux is open source which means that absolutely anybody can offer you support on the product. I find it extremely hard to believe that by 2014 there will be nobody in the world willing to support older Linux installations.

    I don't know it's full history, but from what I can gather, Google Project Hosting was released in 2006. Subversion was the best option back then.

    I don't think anyone would question FreeBSD switching to Subversion in 2006 either. But it's 2008 now. Things have changed significantly on the VCS front.

    It's pretty safe to assume that the commodity PC version of OS X would sell in the same price range as Windows: $400-$500. When you factor in that cost, it's cheaper to just buy a Mac in the first place.

    There is no advantage for Apple to support the regular PC. And unless you are a part of the extremely tiny group of people who like to tinker with your hardware, there is no real advantages of running OS X on PC hardware either.

    SVN really is dead. While I could understand the move a few years ago, SVN is antiquated technology now. I'm not sure why anyone would want to use it in a new rollout when there are newer and significantly better options available now.
