Keep in mind that Bombardier is trying to sell off the recrational products division (most likely to be bought by the Bombardier family), so this thing may never see the light of day if the new parent company decides it's not a product they want to sell.
It was Disney that commissioned getting Photoshop running in Linux under Crossover Office. So at least in the case of Disney, they are using Photoshop on Linux.
and secondly, the thing is probably flashable by software, so you could theoretically add new features to the firmware by taking their source, modifying it, compiling it, and flashing it to the device.
Which can in turn be used by Linksys again, and they wouldn't even have to do any work to get it.
Really what do they have to lose from relasing the code? It's not like it's some big secret how to make a router.
DSL is available around here because all the independent telephone companies in the surrounding area (5 or 6) joined together and formed an ISP. Being the telco as well it was pretty easy for them to offer DSL (they were origianlly only a dialup ISP). There are people that live ten minutes away and have Bell as their local carrier that cannot get DSL.
Things around have always been, next to the major cities, fairly ahead of the times with regards to technology. The local high school in the nearby small town had a frame relay internet connection long before most schools had even dialup. And we got DSL not long after the cities did.

Here is one at 100% alpha:
I NEVER want to see multiple mismatched, clashing toolkits on my screen at the same time.
Good thing you don't use Windows then. Microsoft can't even keep their own applications consistent, let alone third-party apps.

Also, sup cioxx?
It's a current model scanner d00d. Though the one I have is probably three years old now.
(don't worry, I didn't pay for it)
I've got a $15,000 scanner here that only works half-assed with SANE. So much for that theory.
But in your defense it does work to a limited extent.
And where are you going to store this USB keyboard?
Why you clip it to your tablet obviously. And if you are real ambitious you could even make it so it swivels out for use.
I can't afford anything better for them right now.
If you have no money, what makes you think everyone else does? I know that CDs would be the last thing I'd buy on a tight budget.
It had some potentially good uses. However the price for using it, and trying to use it for the wrong things are what killed it off.
Of course they always want to use technology for the wrong things so that isn't suprising at all.
I didn't realize that Windows was written in Brainfuck. Or is that PATH?

If my stuff was being illegally pirated by thieves, I figure it'd be okay for me to try to put a stop to it. You would too...right?
Oh hey look, there's some guy stealing my car. I'll just kill him since it's fully within my rights to put a stop to the crime, am I right?
Solaris is a better alternative, that is safer, more robust, higher quality and dramatically less expensive in purchase price.
Does that mean Sun will pay you to use Solaris?
I just leave my laptop running 24/7. Doesn't do you much good if you're on battery power, but otherwise it does the trick.
What kind of uptime output is that? See sig:
Kopete also now uses the newest MSN protocol.
Nasty red stuff that frays very easily
We started using blue twine this year. Same stuff though. I have no idea why the colour changed, though it's probably a different supplier.
That would be the most devastating virus ever written.
So the EFF needs our donations to protect people whose intention is to steal?
Steal? I thought music was protected under copyright law.

Living in rural canada is not fun.
I live in rural Canada, and I have DSL.
But Windows can have more than on interface. You can use LiteStep, Blackbox, GNOME, etc., etc. I fail to see how this is any different than Linux.
Amature, we use nine reindeer and a sleigh. Mind you we have to deliver packages around the entire world.
