about this carbon stuff. The earth is carbon neutral, so I think it will all balance out. Especially if we run out of fossil fuels like fear mongerers are always saying. Personally I live in Canada and am looking forward to global warming, and anything I can do to accelerate the process is a good thing.
I took progamming classes in engineering and math classes in engineernig, and I liked both. I actually took a math programming class to progam integrals, derivatives, and other complex formulas into C+, and that course sucked. I work as an electrical engineer now and to all my calculating on a $10 micronta calculator. This has nothing to do with this artical but I'm sure people that are adept at mathematics are logical thinkers that can apply themselves to things like programming.
Very correct. The word frames refers to the frames of a TV screen, not the visual acuity responce of the eye which changes person to person. I think average frequency responce threshold, for a stationary point is 20 to 25 Hz, the responce to changes in location is much higher, but varies from person to person.
Conspirasy!!! They actually probably leaked it themselves to spread conflicting data about the environment. They don't want people to know that as soon as the glaciers and polar ice caps melt aliens will invade the earth, they are just waiting for a shift in temperature. I for one, welcome our tropical overlords!
My house is HUGE, I have a 50" DLP and for my living being 24' across it's about perfect. The real problem is my house is too big, everything is scaled up, it's built for a family of giants if the people were the same size as the house they would be 6'-8", 300#. I think American's and Canadian's perception about what is the minimum standard is very skewed. Ther is no reason a house should be over 6000 sqft. I have a two bedroom home that is 3200 sqft, but that is what is available where I live, unless I specifically build a house that is 900 sqft. You "need" to have a big screen or you are poor, that is typically the perception, I would have a 27" CRT, if my brother didn't buy the DLP used for $500.
I live in Canada, and I have the opprotunity to watch news from CNN, Fox, CNBC, BBC, CBC, and CTV, and I find the news with the least amount of spin comes from comedy shows like the Daily Show and the Cobert Report. Typically they present a fact and highlight how stupid it is. That being said I like how Glen Beck qualifies his commentary as "his opinion", which I rarely agree with, but he presents his stories in the same manor.
The Mullahs (religous dickheads aka religous hardliner leaders) have all the real power, Ahmadinejad was elected as a charasmatic figurehead, but he was so successful he now has become more powerful in the country. Even if the his opponent whom ever he is (or was if he hasn't been black bagged for the revolutions), he would still have to answer to the Mullahs.
Iranians have computers and government censored internet, and there are already non-profit groups or for-profit groups working free of charge to circumvent the internet censorship that is in place. Instead of building a new network, how about we fund the people trying to undermine the governments control directly? China does the same thing but their censorship is much weaker.
Now, this is sounding like Yahoo Serious - Young Einstien (real Stupid Funny movie) Were talking splittling beer atoms to power the worlds first electric guitar, and lets not forget the oversized speaker from Back to the Future. Let me tell you there is NO WAY that an accoustic black hole can withstand a 8' speaker, fed from an amp that goes to eleven, and powered by beer atom fission! We're talking, fucking, muscle.
I actually replaced the volume pot in my Fender amp, it now turns approximately 2 points past 10, so it now goes to 12.
"Me: Nigel, your amp that goes to eleven, wasn't loud enough to destroy the acoustic black hole, so we had to build one that went to 12, exactly one louder than eleven."
Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't BEC's near abosolute zero superfluids? These consist of small amounts of molecules super cooled with lazers and magnetic traps? How do you measure the sound comming off of them, you need a lazer just to see them? What if we got a really big speaker and an amp that goes to eleven, I'm sure we could impart enough energy to desroy the black hole.
The real payoff is the sense of achievement when you get a good grade, or down the road when you get into college and eventually a well paying job.
I hardly type that with out spitting soda on my screen, give me the cash!
Of course it's 47 million years old, the creationists are using this to cast doubt on the fact that it is older than 6000 years. Most likely they purchased it privately to destroy it, but they couldn't because it's DOLOMITE, baby!!
Great idea, who is my Congressman?
Mabye I should write the Leutenant Governer General, and he can take my concerns to the Queen of England.
Like I said, your system is screwing me over.
Kanye - "George Bush doesn't care about Canadians"
Actually that's not an fair comparison, taxation without representation is more accurate. Kind of like, a loud, obnoxious, jerk at a restraunt, that racks up a huge tab, and then shafts the guy at the next table with the bill.
by YOUR system. The US govenrment allows a company to patent genes, that company goes international with it and now it applies in my country, and now I get shafted with it, no matter who I vote for. My country (Canada) should elect a communist dictator, just to piss you off. Of course the US will attack and I will get shafted again. Better get the vaseline, BOHICA!
If your country doesn't have the right people for the Job you have to hire people from other countries.
One of the problems is that US and Canadian workers get paid too much for menial work. I'm an engineer and I get paid well for what I do, but many workers at GM plants in the US make more an hour than I do. Some of that is due to the exchange rate, but the cost of living in most US states is less than here.
Yes more Visa's can be a problem... I am such and idoit! I though you were talking about Visa Credit Cards.
Seriously, I'm from Canada and I had no idea what a H1b visa is. Americans have a similar situation to Canadians, we live in a good country, where we grant visas many foriegn workers and students. The best and brightest leave for greener pastures. The Brain Drain as it's called is more a problem for the countries over seas, as the loss of those people has a larger effect to thier native economy.
It's a shame that our people don't want higher educations to work in a high-tech field. Many of the people who I know that didn't attend college work in the Oil Patch, choosing short term returns over education. Of course now that oil is at $55/ barrel their not working anymore.
Thankyou for high lighting that operations of a black whole and subsequent time dilation are not accurately protrayed in a movie, obviously they have no idea about the true physics of gravity and it's effect on time-space. Because next time I'm near a black whole, I'm sure time dilation is going to be the least of my worries, as the differential gravity field tears my attoms apart.
I'm an engineer, my favorite courses in school were engineering physics and quantum mechanics. I haven't seen the movie, but I have never seen a science fiction movie that was entirely scientifically accurate. Usually the bigger the Hollywood budget the more the physics is twisted to suit thier needs. It's the "fiction" science fiction, that makes it interesting, in the realworld science is usually quite tedious and boring to the average person.
This is an old subject. Leisure Suit Larry was a game that every teenage boy with a computer wanted in the early 90's. It didn't generate as much fuss, because not every teenage boy had a computer.
Most nations tend to view thier battle history in a positive light, personally I am from Canada and according to our history we have never lost a war. WWI and WWII in Europe we had our asses handed to us in alot of battles.
We always allign our selves with the US or GB, but in the case of Iraq, we were already committed to Afganistan, luck for us. Personally I knew it was a bad idea, but US intelegence and the media were extremely blind to the fact that there were lots of UN weapons inspectors telling them that they couldn't find WMDs.

One with black jack and hookers, on second thought forget about the black jack.

If the japanese start assembling C3PO robots I say we attack. If the start assembling Jarjar Binx characters, I say we should nuke em.

Personnally, 2 minutes of streaming video per day, is enough me. At 250GB, it could be in HD.
I thought GB got involved in the War because of an agreement to protect Poland, which was in the way of thier attack on France?
The germans thought that GB wouldn't have the spine to stand up to them. Slight mis-calculation

250 GB? That's alot of porn!!
