One cool features in Ecipse's native mode is when you click on a variable it highlights every other instance of that variable within your current source. I haven't seen any other IDE's do this and the PHPEclipse plugin doesn't do it either. Does this plugin for Ruby-on-rails support it?
Thank you for writing. The column "Massachusetts Should Close Down OpenDocument" http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,170724,00.html > that appeared on FOXnews.com Sept. 28 identified author James Prendergast as executive director of Americans for Technology Leadership, but failed to disclose that Microsoft is a founding member of that organization.
ATL is a coalition of technology companies, professionals and organizations that advocates for limited government regulation of technology and for competitive market solutions to technology policy. In addition to Microsoft, ATL's founding members include Staples, Inc., CompUSA, Citizens Against Government Waste, CompTIA, Small Business Survival Committee, Clarity Consulting, Cityscape Filmworks, Association for Competitive Technology and 60Plus Association.
Mr. Prendergast's affiliation with Microsoft should have been stated clearly in the article.
I rarely get unsolicited calls. Usually political parties have robo dialers going during election time but in some ways I don't even mind those as they narrow down my choice of candidates NOT to vote for.
Junk faxes have gotten better over the past year but for a while they were getting on my nerves. Phone rings at 2am and there's no fax machine to pick up so robo faxers try over and over until I finally unplug my phones or turn off the ringer. I'd love to spend 5 minutes behind closed doors with a Louisville Slugger and the people running those shows.
I tried trustudio and I liked it better than PHPEclipse but it just still didn't feel right to me. I wish I could pinpoint exactly what my hangups were. Maybe I'll try it again.
It's missing a lot of the functionality that Eclipse has. Even simple things like dynamic variable highlighting. It's much too dependent upon xammp which I don't feel is necessary.
I also get the feeling it's "pudgy" as it seems to slow the startup of eclipse by several seconds. It feels very "thrown together" for lack of a better phrase.
I know I'm badmouthing it but I am glad it's out there and someone's working on it. Hopefully it will reach the quality level of eclipse soon.
I think what this means is Nokia has been using eclipse for a while and they've noticed some ways to make it easier to develop for their phones so they're going to write some plugins and maybe do a small amount of core work.
Eclipse really is an incredible java ide. I'd be thrilled to see someone extend it or create an IDE for PHP that was on the same level of quality as ecipse. (And no the 1-2 PHP plugins for Eclipse aren't even remotely in the same ball park.)
I would go as far to say that Eclipse itself has been such a pleasure to work with that it's encouraged me to write more java. If you haven't checked it out, you're really missing out.
There are a lot of things that bloggers reveal that should stay private.
There have been many times when I've gone to interviews in the past or met with clients to have them told me they checked out my blog. Not that anything bad was there but some people write too my information for the world to see.
You download the software and it creates a VPN to vpn.google.com. It doesn't even have anything to do with wireless other than using this with wireless allows you to encrypt all your traffic on each end instead of with weak WEP or otherwise.
I just downloaded the client and just using my normal network card in my PC I was able to successfully connect to google and an ipconfig reveals a second connection:
PPP adapter vpn.google.com: Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : Description : WAN (PPP/SLIP) Interface Physical Address : 00-53-45-00-00-00 Dhcp Enabled : No IP Address : 192.168.201.8 Subnet Mask : 255.255.255.255 Default Gateway : 192.168.201.8 DNS Servers : 66.51.205.100 66.51.206.100
I only hope they'll create a server version too and give it out. I must say there was zero configuration and a monkey could have installed it. If they release a server version and allow a small amount of configuration this could come in handy.
I guess one side effect is that I should be able to anonymously browse the web through google.
Consequently, they must be having DNS issues or something of that nature because nothing seemed to resolve while connected.
I have a feeling this is a little too late but maybe I'm wrong. Being an excellent cross platform browser I can only see this help the industry support standards.
What if someone invents a device that can hook up to your brain and can digitally transfer images and video and audio? Not that it's realistic, but I know they've hooked up cameras to kind of see what a cat's brain "sees" so maybe it's not such an impossibility.
I'm just wondering when it will get to the point that you have to have your memory wiped MIB style after watching a movie so that you don't distribute what you've seen and violate those precious copyrights.
I don't have any facts, but I would guess that they are buying it. Otherwise, like you, I can't see how they could afford it for too long. Maybe businesses or governments are buying it.

Dogs are man best friend. How could you adopt it just to kill it and stuff it like a pillow?!
Just like a telephone company should only sell lines and never DSL service.
How can there be no such thing?!
I just bought 40 acres of Intellectual Property on ebay and got an incredible 1.9% finance rate!
I've stuck with fault tolerance as it's been cheaper for a smaller scale operation, but I don't see any reason you couldn't cluster them.
I'd donate a spot in my garage and you guys can come take it for a spin any time you're in town. :)

I submitted a story yesterday commenting on James Prendergast's article: http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,170724,00.html but it got rejected.
This clown's organization lists Microsoft as a founding member and he makes so many false claims it's not even laughable.
I saw it too. Luckily before I sent the link off to a friend. Yikes. I am traumatized.
I'm not entirely sure what these pictures are of but I know enough to know they aren't what they're supposed to be of.

"but I'm wondering what the benefits will be if I move away from Exchange"
For one thing $$$ in future licensing fees.

At one point it was loaded with spyware even if the other two posters don't agree.
No. I'm not sure what it was, I disconnected and reconnected and it was fine.
DNS is working now. Not sure what was going on before. So this post will be made through the new google vpn client.
It is a VPN client.

I'm guessing Sun can justify it because the developers are working on StarOffice and the codebase is shared between the two projects.
