GEE, what do you think the source subdomain for android.com means? From wikipedia: The Android Open Source Project (AOSP) is led by Google, and is tasked with the maintenance and development of Android.
Mesa provides a software renderer. Technically, all opengl implementations are supposed to also provide software implementations of functions not supported in hardware. They're supposed to gracefully fallback to software (and the lovely performance that gets you).
Mesa's software renderer means that it's easier to write drivers, so you can have a fully working implementation as you reimplement various features with hardware support.
It doesn't, that's why you need Scotty to build you a quantum singularity, which allows you to engage the warp nacelles and initiate FTL by sling shotting the message around venus.
Hey stupid asshole, why are you spewing your untrue shit everywhere:
Android / AOSP Home Page:
http://source.android.com/
Per the AOSP website:
Android is an open-source software stack for mobile devices, and a corresponding open-source project led by Google.
What do you think that means?
What the fuck are you babbling on about?

Where do you fucking morons come from?
*strangle
I never said "Android is a trademark that Google lets anyone freely use." Trademark and Copyright aren't the same thing.
Sometimes I wish I could reach into the screen and strange you pedantic assholes.
Oh so Android isn't open source but the *Android* Open Source Project is open source.
Thanks for that tidbit, genius!
Android is open source, Google Apps are not.
Google Apps run on Android but are not a part of Android.
Did you miss the second line, you fuck up?
Yeah, how exactly would google be cutting Acer off? Android is open source.
I suppose they might cut off support services, if Acer has some kind of contract in place for that.
It sounds like Acer was backing out of a deal with Alibaba and it was easier to say "Can't help you bro, Google is threatening to cut me off."
That's because Linus is generally a pragmatist.
He wants shit to just work, he doesn't get religious about things.

It's awesome having a totally open source graphics stack, from Intel's open GPU drivers all the way up to stuff like the OpenGL interface.
The GPU packaged with the ivy bridge release is almost competent, so I'm excited to see what future generations will bring.
How many magic bags of holding is it comparable to?
Yes, Ubuntu 12.04 vs Ubuntu 11.10 is so hard to remember and perceive.
Koooootiiiiiccccccccckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk!
There is no cow problem.
The Kindle Fire was the original successful 7" android tablet.
Apple is going to be releasing their Fire knock off soon and the nexus came out a few months ago.
Fuck you, screwdrivers are the best!

Seriously, read a book or something.
He's the Reverse Oracle, as prophesied by the great Elrond Hubbard of Scientology fame!
Truly the end times are upon us, I think I can see Nibiru from my cubicle!
I wish I had mod points.
Looks like you won't be buying the rest of Hawaii in the near future.

P'Shaw, that's never stopped McDonald's or burger king!
It's funny because your response was also crappy.
Right, C# isn't a knock off of Java at all:

It's a totally new language, right? RIGHT?
