Microsoft fears Android (Linux) far more than permaniche apple products.
Apple will never unleash mass market versions of their products, Linux has and will. That's Microsoft's territory and it scares the fuck out of them to be replaced as the default OS.
It's already happening though, the Desktop market is their last stand... they've lost everywhere else.
3d art applications are just hard in general. There are tons of options, 3d is hard to grok for newbies.
Newbies can easily get blender since it's open source and free, thus there are many newbies like you running going "OMG blender hard." As someone who cut his teeth on 3ds max, I found Blender hard for the first hour (adjustment period) and it was all downhill from there.
Embracing and extending isn't usually a bad thing when the fork is open source.
In fact that's the whole point of open source.
(FYI basically the entire Android platform has been open source so far)
Yeah but you'd have to find someone at Oracle who knows how to use a web browser.
You'd send them a URL and they'd spend 12 months and 10 million dollars writing a "program" in PL/SQL to access the wiki.
Java is open source, GPL even, and has a patent covenant from Oracle not to sue for it's use.
How much better could it fit in the GNU ecosystem?
Someone should tell Steve Jobs that they aren't a software company.

It won't be hard to add Android libraries to ChromeOS for compatibility.
Stardock is also ran by bean counters. They've had two massive failures in the past couple of years with the terrible games they make.
They had to sell it to avoid bankruptcy.
Multithreaded programs don't really exist in Python due to the GIL, you moron.
Because AMD's Linux driver support is fucking terrible that's why.
They'd get the message that they need to fire their retarded driver team and create a new one.
I'm fine with it.
As long as they agree to make Ubuntu the test platform.
So basically, you get around Python's performance limitations... by using C instead.
Way to go!
Even naive C++ is much, much, much faster than Python and is even capable of supporting multiple threads.
It's much faster than C# and slightly faster than Java code as well.
I'm pretty sure the maintainers told them to fuck off with their patches.
Whether that was deserved, I'm not sure.
All microsoft did was license the Kinect and it's software from PrimeSense and slap a badge on it.
The rebels were doing pretty well until Gaddafi brought his air force out.
That game was designed for consoles and PORTED to PC.
PC > Consoles
LOL! This is the funniest comment I've seen in quite a while.
