I have no idea what the decoding capability is like(the product page is misleading and says f all), but for something that cheap it could possibly be very limited. Making it a very useless paper weight for everything but netflicks and youtube. This is just google pushing verticle integration.
I switched to theoldreader. I am really happy with it. It took a while to find a replacement though. Its just frustrating to watch google open up more projects after saying they were trying to be more focused on what they offer.
The common estimate is to double the production cost. I doubt its clear cut. There is a lot of monkeying that goes on before numbers are reported. Some probably make a killing off the merchandise, licensing, and retail which probably isn't included.
They will just cancel it a few years down the road when they realize they can't monetize it. After destroying the competition. Leaving everyone who liked it angry and wondering what the hell they are going to do. Sorry I'm still mad about Reader.
X linked diseases are more serious to men because men can't be carriers. Men only get one X chrome and if it stinks we are stuck with it. It really isn't that shocking that a simplistic models used in genetics is proven wrong. That has been the common fact for the past decade.
I think he was talking about trace minerals being drawn from the ground. I doubt the plants would grow without them being present irregardless. The potato greens and nightsade are toxic since they manufacture Solanine to deter predetors so I don't understand your point there. And yes amino acids are created in the plant, but are a part of the nitrogen cycle and not just water and co2, but is a careful balance of symbiotic creatures or fertilizer to provide fix nitrogen to the plant.
Eating a single food item/object exclusively will harm you. Only eat oranges and guess what you die. People need to make sure to have a diverse diet and exercise themselves. Thats it nothing fancy. We lived that way for thousands of years before now,
Not to troll or flamebait, but I have trouble believing this. They do control a fair bit of it, but I think significant portion of the US debt is owned by China. I always wonder what would happen if suppliers of credit dried up for the US.
What do they care? If people buy it, they will publish it. The point is to make money not create great literary works. Thats why I doubt slimdave's story is absolutely true. Maybe for the no names, but definately not for the big names. The good thing Rowling did here for her defence was defuse the expectation that her new book would be similar to Harry Potter which her last book got a lot of.
If the tip is orange it stops it from being a replica so there is a ton of airsoft guns in Canada with orange tips. The replica thing makes absolutely no sense.
Trademarks only matter if they are using the same words in the same industry. Or at least thats how it used to be maybe domain names are different somehow. Squatters don't have an industry really.
It is all nothing anyone can control. When camping I used to burn pine needles and sit in the smoke. It seems to make a natural repellent. The other trick was to avoid eating fruit, especially bananas.
I think people would be more willing to pay for it if it played music as well. The problem with a lot of advertising is they forget that they have to offer you some sort of value. If the government tightened down on ads so they could only be informaitonal(reviews) I think people would like them more.
I run a fan over the print surface to cool the print while the printer is going. If the object is too hot the plastic extusion layers slides around and the object falls apart. I think people are expecting a higher print resolution then what is realistic. They see molded plastic and want exactly that which is probably near impossible using the extruder technology.
How I understand it the filament has a high price from limited demand. I have been watching the price go down slightly in the past couple years, ignoring the vendor lock in attempts, and the selection increase. Makerbot is horrible. They are gimicky, overpriced, and really gave the finger to the community that helped them off the ground. I hope a better/smarter company swoops in and takes their lunch. This is really a hobbyist technology. You really have to enjoy the tinkering and troubleshooting. If all you want to do is get the printed object there are businesses offering a much better experience.
Recycling is a good idea, but it takes energy. People seem to forget that the materials are a pretty small factor in the equation of building something. It would be better to reduce the need to use the products. Plus I am not sure if windpower generates more power than it takes to build the windmill. A lot of the profit is in the subsidies.
To support you, that is exactly how warrants work. You need a degree of proof to issue a warrant to collect more evidence. You progressively develop more proof of the crime and the defendant progressively looses protection as it becomes more apparent that they committed the crime.
That was the stupidest video I have ever seen. The reporter literal called Samsung a patent troll. And all the footage is a 4s so its not even the banned phone. Plus I don't think this is about market share at all. Its about paying for patents, FRAND or otherwise, when you use them.
Ummmm The US goes to war now and again and the only countries it boarders are ones it hasn't attacked in 200 years. The driving force I think for most war is economic benefit or self interest. Boarders might factor into that sometimes.
Canada did the same BS with chalk river. The plant didn't have redundant cooling so the government fired managers until they got someone willing to run it. The GPs idea doesn't fix anything. Ideally, they should be running designs that can't function in an unsafe condition or fail safe.
I see bitcoins like stocks. You can buy and sell them. You can trade them for other goods or services. The volatility is the sticking point for me. There isn't any depth to the market. People talk about having millions in bitcoins, but sure try to sell them all. You won't be able to find enough buyers anywhere close to the current trading price.

I also spelt predators wrong in my haste, but you miss that one.
Neat. I didn't know that.

I throw a purple or pink zip tie on the bag so I don't care if the TSA cuts it and leaves a note and it scares the workers from cutting it.

Well when you think about it you have to burn diesel to ship gas to the fuel station. Gasoline might have a similar overhead.
