    From the SF Gate article:

    The jury deliberated for several days before a lone holdout against conviction was removed from the panel, for reasons that were not disclosed. After an alternate was put in that juror's place, the panel started over and reached a decision in a matter of hours.

    There is a cure for pedophilia, but most people are squeamish about it. That one uneducated, and country woman down in Tx knew what it was, and administered it quite well, except for missing with the first shot. The others all went right home though.

    I've read that in an effort to improve fuel efficiency some new cars are being sold with their spare tire replaced with a can of tire sealant, and of course the dealer will sell you a spare tire if your the kind of person who likes that sort of thing.

    Maybe Saturn will go back to plastic panels, I bet that saved some weight.

    A VM is just a program, so any keystrokes will be sent to both the VM and whatever other program feels like it needs them. What you won't have, however, is contextual information - it's not as easy to tell when you're typing in a password in the VM from the host.

    Sure its easy, the login details are going to come right after someone types "Bank Of America" or "Facebook" or "Paypal". Just have the key logger send home the 50 characters following any of the site names youre interested in.

    I think they'd sell a lot more if they made these full size.

    Theres no reason you can't put an atom chip in a laptop with a 14 inch screen and a real keyboard.

    I suspect the only reason this isn't happening is because Intel would be cannibalizing their "real" laptop sales.

    Your right, besides video games, servers, scientific research, movies, increased productivity, and probably a dozen things I haven't thought of what do we need more processing power for?

    Of course efficiency is good. Computers have been becoming more efficient since day one.

    There is a place for tiny, low power ARM chips and 150 watt 8 core server chips.

    Exactly. Just like any machine, society needs lubricant in the form of good manners.

    Letting it all hang out and "expressing yourself" (to dredge up a couple of hippy/Me Generation terms) in any way you want any time you want (like flipping off the cops) are sand in the gears.

    Maybe so, but it still should be legal.

    Unless you think the government should legislate "good manners"?

    I don't think China would have a hard time making their own Google. The basics are in the public patent Google has on their page rank algorithm.

    Even if China blocked Google it wouldn't mean that a state backed effort to emulate Google couldn't be given access.

    What none of the hosting co's list as infinite is CPU cycles. In my experience this is what they use to tell you your using too much.

    I recommend Hostgator, they are a little more than some of the others ($10 a month if you want multiple domains) but I've found their servers faster than others (Bluehost).

    All problems? Good luck using that tape to cover the microphone...

    On most laptops I've seen the microphone is usually located under a small hole, and doesn't work great to begin with.

    I think a little tape over that hole would make it much harder (if not impossible) to listen in on conversations.

    At the very least you'd greatly reduce the effective range of the microphone. It could mean the difference between hearing everything in the room and only hearing whats 6 inches away.
