I don't get TV for free in the U.K. I end up having to pay 5 times over for some programs:-
1st payment: T.V. License (legal requirement in UK) 2nd payment: Subscription to cable/satellite 3rd payment: Subscription to channel on cable/satellite 4th payment: Pay per view for a film/sporting event 5th payment: Adverts during program.
As Pratchett said (in The Truth), do they mean transparant as in you can see through to their motives or transparant as in you can't see their motives at all.
Why not hold a competition to see who can write a descrambler in the fewest lines of code or run an obfuscated DeCSS code competiton or even silliest programming language used in writing DeCSS?
I do a lot of research into Biological Molecular Dynamics Simulations of Protein-Substrate interactions.
When you consider that there are often several thousand amino acids in a protein, each amino-acid has a goodly number of atoms. Each of those atoms occupy multiple dimensions of space and at least one of time. Each of those atoms also have other properties such as velocity, electrostatic properties, physical size, covalent bonds to other atoms etc, and each of those atoms have to interact with an large number of other atoms.... (And I'm not even taking into account Quantum Mechanics). Forget galaxy collisions, Biomolecular Dynamics is a tough cookie.
Believe me one of these babies would be really quite useful.
For the advanced gamer: Play as an ally and have to avoid being shot from all sides...

And now I'm stealing from them?

What about roadmaps, so your co driver can navigate for you without switching on the internal lights of the car?
I suppose that means that I'll have to change my pension plan and speed up construction of my concrete bunker. Ho humm, busy busy busy
Not to mention my length patent

No they wouldn't make you scan the barcode on the CD as they'll stop supplying CD's with pre-ininstalled PCs.
It would be much simpler for them to encourage the OEMs to put the bar code on the PC itself. Therefore enforcing one windows per PC
However this does mean that
you would never be able to change the case...
