The apps are there, mostly. The willingness to learn to use a whole new unfamiliar system isn't. And I guess the driver compatibility isn't really there, either. And the "official support desks" and whatnot.
Didn't you know? The OpenPandora is the spiritual successor to the GP32x and can run all apps that it can. Plus it could do DS games if an emulator was made for it (they both use ARM processors after all).
About the specs... Isn't the DS at a laughable price too if this thing is at least ten times more powerful?
There are plenty of pirates who just "want stuff for free" though. Some sort of weird "sharing is caring" spirit which I really don't get (especially because sharing in this way means that you do NOT care if the companies go bankrupt over lost sales).
A good screen doesn't need to be calibrated much, and I'm sure he knows how to do it. One other big issue named was that looking at the screen from the sides scores second-lowest, which isn't something you can just "calibrate".
Lastly, it's best to look up someone's background if you don't trust his judgement rather than tag it "flamebait". I expected unbased flamebait as soon as I read this article too, actually, and that's kind of sad.
Funny how you're rated insightful for that rather than funny... He was, after all, the person who predicted lots of things to fail when they immensely succeeded... like the internet.
Yes, folks, Microsoft once thought that the internet wasn't going to last.

They can't really touch the Pandora on that, since emulators are not illegal and can also be used to run PD and legal-to-download ROMs anyway.
Actually, it's been out for a while now and the first preorders already got it by now.
You're talking way too much to be a ninja.

That's because he drank a bit too much of Christ's sake.
Because Opera is so wide used, right?, it doesn't even render half the internet good for Christ sake.
Well, that's the fault of all those sites not being compliant and IE being way too forgiving on compliance.
The driver problem is definitely a problem, but it shouldn't stop development of everything else.

Don't forget, er, "alternative easy-to-use computer GUIs". Microsoft Bob comes to mind.
You do realize that this is an article about Microsoft.
Not ever since they started hosting high-definition and high-quality content, no.
That serious reply is a joke, just like the parent post, right?
