Now, back on topic, just because of that post, I'm friending you. Cheers!

Uhhh, hi there. Not to be annoying, but I still can't quite get WTH Drupal is exactly. It looks like custom interpreter combined with a database frontend, but I'm not quite sure. Content management system doesn't speak heaps either. Sorry.

Disclaimer: I'm in high-school specializing physics, soooo... I'm not exactly a webdev in the making. Sorry if the question is idiotic.

Please tell me that was tongue-in-cheek, or go do some serious reading up on psychiatric illnesses. Of course it means less other illnesses! Nature prunes out not individuals, but genes that are unfit for survival, so genes that cause schizophrenia, save [more] others from something [worse]. For some things, we are ready to make the compromise, like trading malaria resistance (pretty useless in most of the modern world nowadays) for AIDS and/or cancer resistance (much more useful), but the picture is always more complicated than "blast this gene, and you are resistant to psychiatric illnesses". I hope you realize this.

Wanna check the rates for drunks? Yes, overuse of the drug may lead to paranoia and aggression, but that's probably doubly so for alcohol, doesn't mean we're banning anything alcoholic, right?

Note: I said overuse. Even recreational doses have upper limits, also it usually must be combined with anxiolitics (like weed or sleeping pills) in order to handle the unwanted side effects, but you can't save idiots from themselves, neither the people around them, sorry.

Schizophrenia is basically excess dopamine wreaking havoc, but what happens if that red-line dopamine is a preventative measure for a wider population who's dopaminergic system is a bit weak. From nature's POV, better N per 100 schizophrenics, than 10xN per 100 ADHD/OCD/MDD/?, no? And keep in mind that my analysis is oversimplified. Just my $0.02.

Here's an idea, don't buy crappy laptops, don't underestimate their resilience (that of the good ones), and for fuck's sake, give the devs a two-year old laptop, used by a desk jokey first. It won't be intolerably slow, they won't be compiling the WHOLE damn thing at once, with all optimizations active (Gentoo FTW!, BTW). That way a bad batch of hard drives would have plenty of time to die, and the good ones will still be going very strong. Just my $0.02.
