Is it actually necessary. A MMU probably isn't the simplest thing these days, and I was wondering if you could implement Virtual Memory a different way.
A linked list of segments full of pages, each segment declaring its virtual vs. real delta, for instance. BTW, Virtual Memory usually means mapping addresses, not hitting the page file. Remember, you are not on Neowin, /. is the place where UNIX nerds hang out.

No. Just so you know. I'm an ex-drug addict. I wouldn't mind going through it all again, just so I can keep myself and family members safe from any sort of religion.
These chemicals are simple and direct, if you have the will and/or support, you can fight them, or possibly live with them. You can't do that with something that messes your head up so much that you don't even realize it. There ain't no drugs that can do that.
It's getting late, and I'm creeped out by my own words, so I bid you good night, and remember kids, keep it logical.

Actually, I wonder if someone will make a Ruby->Obj J converter (similar object systems (message passing semantics)), then make V8 bindings to Apache. Better yet, under the Obj J->JavaScript converter (there already is one), put another one, this time a JavaScript->Lua (again, similar object systems) one, then use the Lua LLVM frontend and JIT, and make a mod_llvm. That would be fast... Throw in mod_gzip for good measure (compressed data loads faster).

Which in turn means less space for crops and buildings, not to mention forests, sooo, higher food and housing prices, and less oxygen. Greaat. /facepalm
