    1 (c) Each institution to which subsection (a) of this
    2 Section applies shall, by January 15 of each year, report to
    3 the Board either (i) that the institution has not received 10
    4 or more legally valid notices of infringement within the
    5 preceding year from owners of infringed works or their
    6 authorized agents or (ii) a detailed description of the
    7 reasonable efforts the institution has taken to install and
    8 implement a technology-based deterrent system under
    9 subdivision (2) of subsection (a) of this Section.

    Maybe it's time to look to storing all my data on that flash drive and just shipping it to myself on location. Or maybe back to the old days with new toys, putting the OS on the flash drive so that the laptop won't boot to the OS without it.

    So much easier to not enter/exit the US... glad to know the terror threat will slowly help choke off international collaboration efforts on US shores.

    You don't know why home users don't use tape?

    DDS-4, SCSI, Sun external DDS-4.... a large percentage of home users are still trying to get CD/DVD burning down without problems, and your suggestion is an entirely new tech that they need to buy used and will have even less support for?

    Since we'll have a bunch of ./ers spouting off... might as well make room for someone who lived through the events the RPG depicts:

    I think that is where many people have problems with Mr.Gibson.

    There seems to be more effort in prompting himself and his discovers than working with the security community to actually test and verify these things. I don't believe (but haven't actually run a search through my archives) that I've ever seen a bugtraq or full-disclosure posting by Mr.Gibson.

    When I look at the average MySpace user and then at average accounts on Linkedin, I find it hard to believe that many from the former are moving to the latter. Maybe it's the lack of "sexykitten69" usernames on Linkedin.
