    This is very similar to what Troll created with their QPL license.
    In fact, I think this is the best combination of all possible licenses. The customer gets the source code and rights to modify it, the author gets paid for the work he/she has done.
    Simple, just and promotes creativity.

    "the good of the masses" oh .. usually you can hear this term right before some mass killing is about to start. Forget about it, there is no such a thing. The "good" is only created by indyviduals on their own behalf. This is exactly the reason why US is so sucesfull and USSR wasn't (where "good of the masses" was the goal.)

    That was only an example. If blacks would behave decently I don't have any problem with them ( unfortunately, it is most often not the case and contrary to what you might thing it is not white people fault)

    I wish it was that way. Right now if I have a restaurant and for some reason don't want, say, liberals there, I can;t legally forbid them from comming - if I do I will be sued right away by 200 different "human rights" groups.

    I have a friend who lives in Sweden and is absolutely terrified by school system there ...
    Basically, once kids enter the school they belong to the state and parents have no real influence on their education. If that is true then it does suck.

    Faster then C++. Hmm .. bytecode is faster then true interpretation but can't even come close to compiled code. Look at Java ...

    Perl is ugly and just like you said, is fine for creating some sort of script but betting large application on Perl is recipe for disaster.

    This is not a problem of having scripting language like VB. There are good scripting tools available for unix. The problem is that Linux is lacking in infrastructure like unified access to databases (ODBC) and things like that.
    These things make VB so easy to use ...

    No .. not really . here in my office there are 5 developers running linux and one free bsd. Of all linux people only one is running twm and the rest KDE.
    And I can assure you our office is most definately located in US ( Chicago).

    Really, KDE has a chance to develop something truly usable and something that will last. They actually do care about the user which can hardly be said about most GPL software.

    GUI? There are tons of people who are more knoledgeable about GUI than he is. Gnome is ugly and hardly functional as comapared to Windows or Mac stuff. There is nothing realy revolutionary about Gnome.

    I actually think that lots of people would love to have native port of IE because they simply realize that IE is so much superior to Netscape stuff.

    Yeah, right. Let's all ditch MS Office and move to text based Wordperfect from 10 years ago.
    Or better yet, why don't we go back to punched cards - I am sure there were many "true" geeks who

    And I am very interested in one thing >> how the fuck does having different opinion qualifies me as a troll. I simply don't "dig" text based tools, that's all and for me "mutt" is worthless tool. Is that trolling ??
