    If we legalize marijuana, that means we are going to tax it and collect taxes on it. Do you think the price of marijuana in the store will be more or less than the price you can pay on the street? So, if you buy it from your friend, but you didn't pay tax on it to the government, is that a legal transaction? Will the government classify your weed as illegal and seize it? (Think of moonshine ...)

    Also, what makes you think the government is competent enough to pass a law that won't benefit big business somehow and screw something else over?

    I had to take a personality test several years ago and the HR manager showed me my results. After she read the results, I told her that they were interesting, but as valid as my horoscope. Its like a psychic - they'll say a lot of things, some things might even be true, but these things are true for everyone to some extent.

    My interviewing policy is to hire people who I want to work with, their skills are secondary.

    Great. Lets say for arguments sake that global warming is a reality. What the heck are we supposed to do about it? Even if no more green house gas goes into the atmosphere starting Jan 1, 2009, the climate will still change. AFAIK there is no solution proposed to reverse the trend of GW.

    And if the US/Western nations decides to crack down on green house gases, India and China aren't going to - they aren't about to stop their industrial revolutions.

    We're as doomed as doomed can be.

    useful for Bash commands also ...
    ctrl+a (beginning of line)
    ctrl+e (end of line)
    ctrl+k (cut line to memory)
    ctrl+y (paste line from memory)

    I wish that it accounted for SOME momentum. You push hard to go up the hill, and then you can't use any of the momentum going down for the next hill. I do like that you can see the course as you ride up and down the hills instead of little red bars on the other stationary bikes.
