It seems to me that while they did not have the insight to know what was happening at the chemical level of today, Trial and Error plays a large part in science, as in you experiment to test the world around you, and it seems that its used in quite a bit in modern science still http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trial_and_error#Examples, specially with the advent of computers.
To say they used no science, no wisdom and that it was good luck is just wrong. By simply looking up the word Wisdom I find "The soundness of an action or decision with regard to the application of such experience, knowledge, and good judgment." It seems they did exactly this.
OpenOffice brand was already damaged by Oracle and I believe by giving it to Apache they wanted to continue the damaging effect of the way they handled to community.
Why not give it to LibreOffice? When they realized they where wrong and it was time to dump the code, why give it to Apache? Why not give it to the people already doing development, previous community members?
I think OpenOffice while it may have been downloaded more times its LibreOffice with the uptrend, with the following.
I was able to keep everything the way it was. I don't know about you but when I went to the privacy controls I had more options including to keeping everything to Only Friends. I think the new controls are well done. I do think that the wizard they had is a bit confusing but I was able to lock everything down from the privacy settings. I think this article may be wrong.
Will this really be valid when the next Wii machine is released. I mean for now it may have lower powered hardware, but will it always be the case? I think that this was an experiment for nintendo. Now that they know it has succeed I think the next version of the Wii will match performance.
I have never seen a more depressing statistic. I still don't use these sites and see them mostly as a waste of time. I can understand why they are popular, but with all the privacy issues I really don't understand why you would want to risk so much of your identity/information.
While in high school we had a foreign exchange student come and stay with one of my friends. He was very athletic. We went to play basketball one day, he was really struggling to keep up. He then took his shoes off and began to play. I warned him that someone had broken a bottle on the floor and his feet would get cut. He said he wasn't worried and began to play better then the rest of us. He was from the Dominican Republic. He later explained that he hardly wore shoes ever and his feet where as hard as rocks underneath, glass was no problem.
How can faith be tested by skepticism? Isn't faith the belief in something without proof?
faith
noun
1.
complete trust or confidence in someone or something.
2.
strong belief in God or in the doctrines of a religion, based on spiritual apprehension rather than proof.
Even its definition counters your statement. It seems perhaps that you may be confused as to what faith is.

Its not the only the browsers that need to support the newer versions of these protocols, but also the servers.
Wouldn't ET pick the ones they wanted to initiate conversations with first? Possibly the ones less likely to point a gun at them?

When the waitress says "If you need anything else, my name is Betty"
Programmer thinks: what would her name be IF I didn't need anything else.
Its an if statement:
if need == true:
name = "betty"
else need == false:
name = "woosh I don't get programming jokes"
Thank you, I'm here all night.

The power of the dark side draws near.
