    I was wondering the same thing. I know that my elderly parents were thrilled to "finally" see audio/video handled with one cable to connect.

    We've had the tax cuts for going on 10 years, and the jobs situation got WORSE. The tax rate on the wealthiest Americans is at the lowest point since the 50's. Without the security of America, those companies wouldn't even exist in their current form, so spare me the crocodile tears for the million and billionaires. If the middle class can be asked to fight their bullshit wars, the rich should have to fucking pay for it.

    Because with the music I like, there is proof of musical progression. I see a lot of bands live, and have watched many of them work on songs over the years. I avoid the pop charts like a plague.

    Actually it is, and always has been up to the user to manage their extensions. If you refuse to take advantage of a tool that automates the process, it's no one elses fault. Or you could do the unthinkable thing and wait for a couple of days for the extension authors to update..

    I use AdBlock Plus, and it worked with Firefox 5 just fine, from the moment I upgraded. So again, what plugins don't work? The only one I have not working is one that is a beta version, and it will have a v5 release in days. It's certainly not the end of the world.

    Which version of Gnome are you using? Right now, KDE4 is much more stable, and customizable than Gnome3. However if you're looking at Gnome2, I'd say it still beats out KDE4 in the "just works" department.

    If I were choosing between the 3, it would look like this: Gnome 2 > KDE4 > Gnome 3

    That being said, I'm using neither. When Gnome 3 replaced Gnome 2 in the Arch Linux repository, I switched to XFCE4, and haven't looked back since.

    You can boot in to a different distro without actually restarting the machine, with KDM.
