Anyone else sick of these re-runs? For the past month the anti-Iranian propaganda has really ratcheted up. We're seeing the same tactics they used to scare the public in to supporting an invasion of Iraq.
You would think that a good summary would be posted here, of all places, that told what this was, and left the conspiracy theory nonsense to the comments section at youtube.
So instead of news for nerds, we get news for conspiracy minded idiots.
TBH the 'upgrade your PC every 6 months" thing is about 5 years out of date. I'm on a PC I built in 2007, and the only thing I've upgraded is to put a little more RAM in it, and get a new video card after 3 years with the same one. The popularity of the consoles among developers means the games really haven't gone outside of those specs in most cases.
I'd imagine most of their 20 years went by just fine because they weren't using movie stills in their advertising and promotional material on their public website..
If your idea of Nazi style jackbooted fascism is a bar being sued because they use direct images from the LotR movies in their advertising, then you're pretty well off, and really don't understand what the people that were actually exposed to fascist tyranny actually had to put up with.
Yeah it's hard to see them as being innocent victims when they're using images from the movies in their promotional flyers, etc.... That is just inviting trouble.
Actually the idea that a company should be loyal to its employees started to die about 20 years ago, thanks to useful idiots like yourself that argue in favor of lowering the value of labor, and giving companies a pass on not being responsible citizens.
I've seen that copy/paste quote mining for a decade now. Here is my response: There is no left wing in American politics. The fact that you can find so many right-wing hawks in the Democratic party is proof. Now try pasting some quotes from Hans Blix and the UN weapons inspectors.
I enjoy reading the responses from armchair know-it-all's that seem to think Sweeney is some sort of light-weight when it comes knowledge about rendering.
In the case of you confronting your own child's bully: You became the bully. Congratulations. You should have told your son to stand up for himself, instead of intimidating a child.
No WMDs were found in Iraq. Get it through your thick skull. You don't get to complain about "left wing tripe", when dishing up a huge plate of the right-wing variety.
No one is saying the Tevatron discovered the Higgs, or that it 'beat' the LHC. They're saying that now that they know what they're looking for, they found HINTS of it in their data.
Fun Fact: People from all over the world worked at the Tevatron in Illinois. We should all be sad it's gone. Also, many Americans are now working at, and helping to fund the LHC.
It's sad that these projects that bring us together in peace, get treated as if they were sporting events or yet another political pissing match.
But the difference between comic books and bitcoins, is that one of them doesn't pretend to be a currency... If you have to find a niche market for your bitcoins, they're not any more a currency than comic books... that was my whole point.
Sure, if you can find someone to give you that much cash for them. Good luck. I'd put more faith in the value of rare comic books, personally. I know people that will pay real money for those. In life I've met exactly zero people who know wtf a bitcoin is, let alone that would actually take them as currency.
I'm not sure, but it does illustrate the challenges SETI faces.
It's also called RTFA, or in this case, RTFS...

I hope they know what they're doing because I for one do not look forward to a PC marketplace dominated by only Intel and Nvidia.
If you think about he dilutions used in homeopathy, then that would mean the planet earth has already been "treated" for every conceivable ailment.
Every time this topic comes up I always think of the old James Randi joke: "A homeopath recently overdosed. He forgot to take his medication."
His career peaked 25 years ago, and he's dead; But I'll bet he still earned more money than you did last year...

Try construction work for one year, then tell me how horrible it is to lug around 2 laptops.........
Except we're not.

Because they're not worth a lot.

Well, there's no crime in that! It's your right as an American. I'm trying to cut down, myself.
I'm stupid enough to still visit this site, so yeah, I guess I am.
