The etymology of the name Africa is interesting but it does not give a "bad" connotation to Africa. I never heard of anybody calling someone an African instead of some real racist term.
Even more so... Isn't there white African people ? I'm not sure someone from South Africa (White or Black) would take offense at being called an African.
And... How would you propose that we call that entire continent ?
Wow is no grind feast. Getting from one to 70 takes time, that's true, but a casual player can do it in less than three months, whithout having to grind its way to glory, just by doing the quests and playing with friends. If you want a grind feast, play the original everquest.
No, gliders are used by people who wants to Farm gold or level up characters for money.
# Bots are often used in Massively Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Games to farm for resources that would otherwise take significant time or effort to obtain; this is a concern for most online in-game economies.
On December 21, 1995, the President of Russia Boris Yeltsin signed the decree that disbanded the KGB, which was then substituted by the FSB, the current domestic state security agency of the Russian Federation.
Never said that DRM was a good idea, just that it's not THAT bad.
I'd be happy to see it removed and never used it again. Heck, it even convinced me not to buy Spore on moral grounds.
I am just trying to point out that the outcry IS overblown. It's not like securom is new or that it was the first time it has been used. It's not like it's wrecking EVERY configurations.
Don't forget that it's highly exaggerated too. Yes, there is DRM, yes, you have a maximum number of install before having to contact support, but the game still works and the DRM is mostly harmless.
There are still those few vocal one who had to reinstall because of securom (burning an install in the process) and they are the one making the most noise.
I hate DRM as much as the next guy but I feel that in this case, the outcry is overblown.
Yet, I would be happy if EA used softer security methodes. securom and the validation didn't stop spore from being avaible on your favorite torrent up to 4 days before it's official release (australian leak) and its only loosing them sales.
Would be your fault at not checking what a third party wants to install on your computer.
And, just looking at the size of the files it will want to download should tell you that it's trying to install some bloat ware!
No, seriously, I think this is a good idea, if it is done in a skillful way.
Well, don't blame me, I'm Canadian.
The problem I see with your economy is that a gamble was made and lost. Then a second gamble was made and lost. Afghanistan and Iraq could have been good for the United States economy but it ended up dragging on for 10 years. This, combined with the recent mess up with mortgage market resulted in your current situation. But, the fact is that the United State saw worst, and came back stronger. Why? Because they continued to invest in the future, to spend money in risky in place and make profit out of it...
Think about it, spending your money wisely is about not losing it. Spending your money recklessly is about profit.
If you are talking about Bush, you are right.
But the United States ? Does not have the competences? Madness.
I think what is lacking here is profit. There is no profit involved in going to the moon thus, they lost interest.
Maybe if they were people to democratize on the moon... But I digress
It depends, really. Eight gigs of high latency ram is not going to do squat if you install them on a gaming pc. Considering the fact that right now, most gaming pcs are running XP, I wouldn't recommend a gamer getting that much ram.
That said, for more serious applications, a lot of slower ram would be the way to go. Here at work, we crunch a lot of numbers for our simulation. For that kind of application, getting 8 gig of ram per machine is the way to go.
All in all, that ram would be gamer toy anyway...
Well, even so, Ram quality usually has the lowest performance to dollar increase index on hardware.
If you have decent ram, I'd prioritize working on another area instead to get better performance for your money.
But in the end, it always depend how much performance you want and how much you are ready to pay for it.
I'm tired of reading that we are going to quickly run out. We are not going to quickly run out of form of energy. There will be less for everyone, then a lot of people will die, then it's gonna be ok for the survivors!/goes for his buggy and leather jacket. Mad max here I come!
changes from the "All of the x computers they have" jokes.

Is that from someone who played the game?

I was under the impression that windows 7 was supposed to be out by 2010. Even better if we get an SP1 or 2 next year!

Wow, you got issues. Have you checked for spies in your microwave lately?

Pfah. A bidding war for a $485M contract? Not worth it.

Even so, he'd still be a pc.
