If Mozilla moves away from using Google as its primary search engine, I see a lot of pissed off users who don't want to deal with another search engine switching to a different browser.
Perhaps, but many times these bands are just so ready to sign to a major label, they'll sign whatever heaps of fine print the label puts in front of them. Do you always read through everything you sign?
I'm sorry, but capitalism is not the issue. The corporations could not wield this kind of threatening power on their own. It's the government pussying out and bending over for big corp lobbyists that's the real issue. No government capitulation, no problem.
This is probably because you don't have your towel. If you had it, people would automatically assume you were a very prepared and put-together guy, and would be willing to help you out with anything you needed.

Wowbagger the Indefinitely Prolonged seems like the worst possible character to attract attention away from anything..
On the contrary, according to the DMCA, Apple has full legal control over what hardware OS X can be installed on, and any attempt to bypass those access controls is a crime. I'm not saying I think the law is a good thing, but, for now, it is the law.
At some point, these lawsuits have to just not even matter to these guys. "Well, we're already in the hole for $1.2 billion, what's another $200 million? It's not like we actually have all this money anyway..."
Kind of like someone who is put in prison with 150 life sentences. Really? What's the point?
Saying that a distribution of Windows is going to come in an array of different versions is like saying the sky is blue; it's about as obvious as things get.
I, personally, use Linux Mint, an offshoot of Ubuntu, but far better equipped than its parent. I, a proclaimed newbie, think Mint is the winner in the battle for user-friendly systems.
I don't think that's as much an Apple problem as it is a Linux problem. Don't get me wrong- I support and have computers that run Linux- but it is known to have hardware compatibility issues with many devices, many of them not from Apple.
Thats probably one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. Just because its the best doesn't mean it can't be improved upon. What if the makers of the Ford Model T said, "Well, this is the best car out there! Our work is done here!"
EPIC WIN. that is all.
Thank you for that laugh :)
True. I guess if we were talking about IE users they might not know how to change those settings, but that type probably wouldn't care anyway.

+1 Awesome

Truth spoken. It's a shame our country has come to this.

We may have the choice now, but as much as I hate to say it, I have to agree that this looks like more of a transition than an expansion of options.
+1 Funny
Somehow I doubt he reached terminal velocity in the what.. 100 feet from the launch pad?
Until this thing can put out 1.21 jiggawatts of electricity, it's of no use to me and my purposes.
They do under the DMCA.

Well, I did go through trying a number of distros to find the one I liked best (ubuntu, debian, slackware, etc.)

It gets better: another high school robotics competition is the BEST Competition (Boosting Engineering Science and Technology)
