long ago i saw phones from philips(!) that they claimed had a battery life measured in months. the main problem with your need is that most people are ok with 5-6 days of battery on a smartphone.
i've been saying the same thing since forever but no one seems to notice! unity is just a step further in ubuntu's attempt to clone osx. from the abrupt change of the titlebar buttons to the new and shiny dock, everything is just parodying osx.
i thought iphone os was supposed to be the perfect example of consistency and intuitiveness? why this complaint now? and if the ui is such a pain in the ass then why don't people buy better spec'ed tablets from samsung instead?
anybody know why ubuntu is even bothering to develop unity? cause it seems like a shameless rip-off of osx. i'd just use a mac instead of this half-baked pice of shit.
it'd be better if you just download the hd versions of your tv shows and stream them to your tv using your xbox or something.

when mp3 players were still an expensive niche, i just listened to radio. i didn't always like what i heard but mostly the songs were good. then i got myself a 512mb sandisk player. the first songs i put into it were ripped off the few (5-6) cds i had. then i found out that i could download mp3s from the net! then we got an unlimited internet plan (it has become limited now). so, what i realize is that i'm unwilling to pay anything for music. if you make me listen a few ads, i'll not mind. but i will not directly pay for my music. that is the value of music for me. free music IS a lifestyle for me.
is this supposed to be an answer to flash? if yes, then these guys have utterly failed. flash is orders of magnitude easier than this, faster than this and does things these guys can't even attempt to imagine. in flash when i create a new file, i get a toolbox on the left (like photoshop), i can select the paintbrush tool, right click on it to change its size and start drawing. i can click on the next frame and draw again, create a tween between them. honestly, this maqetta thing doesn't seem to be built with the purpose of replacing flash.
Honestly - is it really that horrifyingly out of whack to charge £5 a month for endless music?
yes. considering the fact that i'm paying for the non-unlimited data connection too. and how can someone not need mobile service? i don't listen to music while sitting at my pc. i listen when i'm on the move, or maybe sitting in the library doing math.
di.fm does not play any mainstream tracks though. that might be a problem for many people. for people like me who just want trance, its amazing!! many djs usually post download links to their mixes in the forums! i'm unsure about the legality of this, but i can testify that it is AWESOME!
from his experience with ff4. incidentally, i'm facing the same problem. leave open ff4 for ~90 min, crash. this was not happening in any of the beta builds. dunno why now. posting from ie9, which is rock-solid, fast but not customizable at all.
would rather have not reacted at all? i think this has been beneficial for the whole world everything considered.
mac? you brought up a mac when comparing cost? hahahahaha....
i've done the same thing. yet i can never play youtube in fullscreen while on ubuntu.
flash.
read the summary. no mention of xp, only windows 7.

won't work in a theater.
What nokia will do instead is flog the hell out of a cheap, plasticy, button clad thing...
every nokia phone i've ever seen beats iphone in hardware quality. even the old black n white ones were better made.
yeah that is my first thought.
my second thought: nokia.
exactly. i'd hate it if chess was forced upon me. coercion would remove the tiniest chance of me developing an interest in it.

with an iphone!
how hard would it have been to take a proper camera? the photos are almost unlookable!

i'd think being google would itself be a huge marketing enhancement.
