no one. We see this every time these two companies release cards. Go around their site and see what they have given the other cards my bet is if one company wins all the time you can find the problem.
it looks to me like a quick answer.. Just like how old the shuttles are, lets keep dumping very large amounts of cash into aging items and not looking form something new..Oh hold on if forgot we are talking about the U.S. Government putting large amount of cash with no real results.
They started pushing things to the press cause its all free. Think about it they didn't have to spend a dime of advertising cash on it to get people to start talking about it. Just look at all of this conversation on it, people are going to keep their eyes out for it to see how it turns out.
I hope Microsoft does do more than one release candidate. I remember 2000 pro and server had two or three Release Candidates, and look how well that one went over. More time into a RC will help crush any other bugs and errors that are there. Vista seemed to be rushed now that we have sp1 for vista which made it usable but still needs a lot of work just dump vista along with its fellow friend ME.
I agree with you there, i have seen demos that work fine but when getting to a full version that has extra items due to full version can now do more errors arrive.

Taking a note from one of the best "leak" marking company out there Apple. I have to admit Apple does marketing, they let out info in such ways that no one knows what they are up too and still gives even more when they do release what they have coming. A lot of companies can learn a thing or too from Apples marketing I know they have helped me write a few papers for my marketing classes.
I think your onto something. If you look at Nintendo's Wii you see they where not aiming at the heavy gaming crowd like Xbox and PS3 they where looking for the light or mid users. Nintendo doesn't want to say they are aiming for something when they are just doing it differently, so far its worked for them, lets see where it goes from there.
If Nintendo doesn't intend to compete directly with Apple then why jump on the bandwagon with the "i" addition? I know it's trendy on everything from the iRobot to the i-Dog but in my opinion they show their hand with the name.

You have to remember the original Halo was a title release for Microsofts new console at the time. They put so much cash behind the first xbox that there was no way the one game built for the systems release would fail.
You know whats sad to say i still have a copy of Daikatana in a box its become one of my odd items to have in my game collection right next to the old Bible games for NES lol.

Im going to have to look into this more, but it just might be a firmware update to fix the issue. thanks for the heads up now to dig around more.
